Noah Joseph to Indiana

Well, the game on Oct.4 in Bloomington just got tougher.

Coach Joseph will be able to help an already explosive offense attack our defensive weaknesses as well as help the defensive coordinator understand Chico's offense a little better. Dang.

Best of luck to coach Joseph though, just not on Oct.4.

He might know about some of our coaches proclivities, but we also know (or should know) some of his as well.

He is a position coach. He has no say in where his guys line up and what style they play. It's just his job to make sure they're ready & able to play. However, it's his job to understand the defensive philosophy of his DC... something he did well while he was here according to coach McCarney.

i get the well wishes for the coaches and the general feeling of "we must be doing something right..." but am i the only one that sees this as a particularly negative thing??? right when we are getting a little momentum, two of our bright young defensive coaches leave. they were also really good recruiters. i get that it comes with the territory but these were the guys developing relationships with the kids that will be in next year's recruiting class and now they are gone. that makes a difference in recruiting. i trust what coach mac is doing but the revolving door is not a good problem to have. coach joseph and coach walters were both only here very briefly and that is a problem IMHO.

Depends on the replacement. Hopefully more Tommy Perry type hires (probably the next coach we lose)
