Looks like the end for Sports Illustrated

The company that publishes SI fired most of the staff this afternoon. It's still to be determined if they are laying off everyone or not. I'd say it's the end for sure, but SI has a complicated ownership and publishing arrangement which makes it possible someone else will take over the publishing.

Gotta like the chicken 💩 eyeroll. Most likely a woke fan of places like SI that stop focusing on what they were once good at, and tried to get into the social influence game. Doesn't always work out well when you lose sight of who your core audience is.

Interesting take, but ignores the fact that most of the print media is gone including newspapers and magazines.  Not because of the social influence game but because few read anymore and even fewer will pay for the privilege.

This is the biggest reason I think. They will have to move to a completely online platform.

lmao. Literally every newspaper and magazine has gone under in the last 20 years but yeah, it was "social influence gaming" that brought down SI. It's always easier to just scream wokeness rather than learn literally anything I guess.

Seeing Sports Illustrated die is a lot like watching Old Yeller get shot. It was once a beloved mainstay of our sports culture as it reviewed the past weeks biggest events, previewed the upcoming, and made superstars of those that graced its cover. Unfortunately, like Old Yeller, it was infected with a horrible virus (wokeism, not hydrophobia) that made it toxic and it needed to be put out of its misery.

What is that?  This is just a made up term.

The comment is italics is comedy gold.  The Left refuses/can't even define what a woman is anymore.  They are so delusional, I don't see how any woman could vote for them.

As far as the CNN article, it is too bad the state school board official did that, as social media was not the appropriate means at all, but that is the world that the woke left has created.
