Bill Christle?

No sir.  I don't know who that is.

In the bowl game he scored the TD, he also kicked the EP.

@UNTLifer you know I respect you and we all enjoy your games a lot, but if the great@SilverEagle can’t guess your questions they are probably getting too hard.

I didn’t know a thing about Dinkle until I started this. I think it is important that we know our past whether it be five years ago or fifty plus.

I've heard the name a time or two, but I could never tell anyone anything about him. Other than the final scores for each season, I don't know where to find any sort of statistical/background information about North Texas players pre-1950.  I know that NT had a phenomenal start after WW 2, but I don't know the stars of those teams. I found out in recent years, that a former head coach (late 50's early 60's) at Decatur, Bill Laliker  had been a star RB on some of those teams. I found out that he played HS football @ Canadian.  Perhaps he and Dinkle were on the same team.

Yep, they were on the same team. Dinkle is on page 123 and Laliker is on page 125. Summaries of every game in this section of the 1947 YUCCA.

They were on the 48 team as well.
