Waiting for the end of the season to fully evaluate before taking action.

Surely we're not making this decision based on the final 6 games.

Well, we're not sure at this point so we are gonna let this play out and watch how things develop as we approach WKU and Marshall.  We will make a decision at that point and go from there.

So hard to stomach from this end, no matter how sensible they might think this wait is.  My first big red flag of the Baker term.

Well, gang... You hate to see it happen, but no winning streak can go on forever.

If we had to see it end, at least it was to the 13th best team in the league, by almost 20 points. No shame in that. No more than anything else, I mean.

Does Benford vote in the coach's poll?  Is FIU a "top ten program?"

Thanks!

We can't defend the three or shoot the three. That right there along with missing free throws will cost us every game. It just boggles my mind that they have adjusted to play out beyond the arc on both ends of the floor.

So if we don't score more than they do we won't win?

Huh? I am saying that the three point differential is what has cost us many games. To often we try to take it into the paint out of control trying to either get an easy lay up or draw the foul and neither happen. We end up getting offensive fouls and lots of turnovers. We have operated best when we have gone directly into the post, moved to the wing off ball or gone in and back out with teams trapping Combs earlier on or Brice.

the more games I watch, the more I think the 3 is overrated. we are horrible from deep. but the games are being officiated so tightly that any sort of drive into the paint gets you free throws. and legitimate charges are rarely called. why bother with a 30-40% deep shot (at best) when you can make 50-70% good on layup attempts and 60-80% on FT? We played Ark St. saturday and I think there were 50+ FT att between the two teams. 4-6 players finished with 4 fouls. The game took like 9 hours to play and was brutal to watch.

This is the reason I generally can't watch basketball.  Going back to my freshman year in 1990, all I ever saw were hours long free throw shooting contests.  Like the vaunted, ever mysterious pass interference call in football, it's virtually impossible to defend in the paint without fouling.  I don't make that statement with any particular team or game in mind.  Just a general observation of the sport at large.
