What direction does Mac and Company go? I think we know one slot is there for the taking by Xavier Washington. Do they refill Garrett's slot with another DB or do they look elsewhere? I would love to see a push for the DT out of Lufkin, because he may be falling through the cracks. If not, the CB Wagner out of Mesquite is intriguing.

Xavier Washington*

Dominique Barnett is another guy we could pursue if we really want another corner. Both Barnett and Wagner are physical corners who can play on the far side of the field like Davis likely would have. Andrew Jones (our corner commit) looks like a better fit on the short side of the field, pressing the receivers.

We need DL's............pleeeezzzzzzz...................to start on our 2014 Mean Green "D" and is why we all so want Xavier Washington as a resident over at Victory Hall inside the Mean Green Village and then his being in 2-a-days at amazing Apogee Stadium this August.

Would also love to see 40,000 Mean Green fans at the next Heart of Dallas Bowl game versus a Big 10 opponent (as was supposed to have been the case the first day of this month).

Granted, 2 Big 10 schools being in BCS bowls created the scenario as to where there were no Big 10 schools bowl eligible but doesn't the HOD Bowl also have a Big 12 option for the HOD just in case?

Just supplying information that I thought NT fans might enjoy. No clue if Mac is recruiting any of these kids or not.

Ya his motor is awesome!! I wonder why he chose an unblocked blitz as his first play on the highlight film… interesting choice by either him or coach, couldn't tell who put that together.

It is interesting to me to see some of the names still out there. Brad Lundblade from Liberty Christian was highly recruited as an OL, both DT's named Williams, Outing, etc... Also, the DT from Dallas Lincoln that committed early to Rice and then seemed to waiver. Is he still out there?

For the last two spots, I would got DE and DT, or DT and OL. Only one OL in this class. If we don't land X, then focus on DT and trying to get another OL on board. There were a couple of OL that we thought we had earlier in the process. Let's get one.

Technically we have two o-linemen in this class. Avery Fortenberry grayshirted but is now on campus and on scholarship. He counts towards this class and still has redshirt eligibility. Looks like the coaches are going to stand pat with Fortenberry and Miles.

It seems that we passed on Will Copa and Christian Beard (two linemen we had offered). Beard committed to Toledo and Copa committed to Texas State. Signs pointed to the theory that we basically stopped recruiting them. We thought Chico was going to visit Copa after he tweeted he was going to visit a recruit in Austin. It has been revealed now that he was visiting Tillman Johnson.

DJ Williams, Lufkin DT, commits to Kansas.
