No chance...

SMU will be looking to hire a name going into the Big East...

No slam dunk names come to mind at the moment, but whoever it is it he will have to have some skins and some name recognition...

I'm sure they would throw crazy money at Brad Stevens, but he'd never leave Butler for SMU...

Shaka Smart of VCU maybe...?? Just the one Final Four, but lots of name...

I would throw Fran Frashilla's name out there as well. He was getting interviewed during one of our games and mentioned he was getting the urge to get back into coaching. He also lives in Highland Park I believe.

Discussion of coaching candidates on SMU board

I'm actually kind of shocked that they have that many posters interested in the subject. Wonder what those guys are busy doing elsewhere during game time at Moody?

  I haven't been disappointed in how we've done in conference play. We're gonna finish anywhere from 17-10 to 20-7 in league play. Was disappointed in how we didn't compete against name teams, in OOC play. I do think the future is bright. I think those incoming recruits are very talented. (especially the pitchers from Michigan and Tennessee). And I think Ausha Moore, will be another speed merchant like Cierra is. One more thing: I think Madison Conley will be our next great power hitter.
