What's So Hard About Mean Green?

I just got down explaining to some douche that goes to OU what our mascot is on Facebook.

I don't see what's so hard about us being the North Texas Mean Green. Yes, our mascot is the Eagles but our nickname is the Mean Green. Alabama is the Elephants but we know them as the Crimson tide.

Here it is in SAT style...

North Texas is to Mean Green as Alabama is to Crimson Tide.

Is there something I'm missing or are some people just idiots?

It really is simple and I say the more the merrier! Just be sure to get them right! I was interviewing a Longhorn the other day, noticing he spent time in Austin and graduated from Bevo U. I mentioned that I went to North Texas and he stated, 'Sreaming Eagles!" The courtesy interview was short:) JK (solid guy).

beat OU!

Idiots.... You need to take in consideration that he attends OU.....poor guy.

Reminds me of the old joke about the dumb Texas that moved to Oklahoma.... and improved the average IQ of both states.

Think about this. Had the Albino Squirrel Preservation Society been successful in their efforts, we might actually have TWO mascot's and a nickname.

We could have been:

The University of North Texas Mean Green Eagle Albino Squirrels.

Try explaining that one to your average Sooner. It would really bake their noodle.

I have always been confused why their school name is University of Oklahoma, yet their logo is printed backwards as OU.
