Barela lands at Texas State

Mike Barela, the former director of football operations at North Texas, has accepted a job as tight ends coach and director of football operations at Texas State.

Barela wanted to get back into coaching during his time at UNT and will get the opportunity at Texas State. The former UNT letterman was one of the last members of the Mean Green's old coaching staff still looking for a new job in the coaching business.

Humm...seems like one member from the old staff is still missing on the newly-hired list.... :rolleyes:

Just kidding. I wish Flanny all the success in the world in his future endeavors after coaching at NT.
