The Skin's still suck even with Joe Gibbs back at the helm.

Wade Phillips, as underwhelming as he is, will win 10 next year.

Joe Gibbs will also win 10 games, except replace win 10 games with "crap his pants 100 times and get lost looking for the men's room."

Being regular is a bitch...

Unfortunately Wade Phillips will not win any playoff games..... As he is 0-3 in the postseason.....

There are so many great up and coming coaches around, why settle for the worst coach on his long list of potential coaches.

He has gotten fired at every Head Coaching job he has taken and has always done miserably in the end. The cowboys defiantely dont need this as they continue to suffer December woes.

I am ashamed Wade Phillips is the new Cowboys coach.

So because he is currently 0-3 in the post season means he won't win any post season games? This logic is right up there with your Troy Aikman > Peyton Manning theory because Manning is now 6-7 in post season with only one Super Bowl victory.

Past success always predicts future success - everyone knows that.

That's why the Parcells and Gibbs eras have both been so freaking awesome for the Cowboys and Skins....and why Jordan's comeback with the Wizards went well...and Montana won a title with the Chiefs...and why porn stars from the 80s are still pleasant naked...

They put Marty on the market 3 days after Dallas (and everyone else) hired a coach.

I'm not saying I necessarily want Marty Shottenhymer as the coach...but it would have been nice to have the opportunity to interview him.

I never made that connection. Funny thing is, considering he chose Phillips after this whole process I'm not so convinced he would have picked Marty anyways.

I cant say my sports pants is going crazy by the Phillips hiring however I cant say i'm totally down and pissed. It was probably an unconventional hiring but last I checked it was this defense that needed all the help. If he can make the defense what it was meant to do this season then I think we legitmately have a chance to win 10-13 games. I think the offense will be fine even tho Garret is leading the way for the first time....I dont know but I think Garret has something and he's gonna do wonders with his stint with Dallas. This team has been set up to win so Phillips wont have a long leash....he needs to win and it will need to be now. Look for the Cowboys to get their first playoff win since 96 this year and dont be surprised to see if the Cowboys are in the Super Bowl again.
