There is not a D1 team we could have beat playing they way we did today. Thank the Lord for Tristin Thompson or else the embarrassment would have been off the charts.

Other than Jub-Jub, Norm is the only guy on the Ticket that gives UNT any kind of credit. So I'll let that slip.

This has been my gripe for awhile. At the very least we need to dominate if we schedule easy.

Hopefully everyone who is enjoying the basketball team's success will stick around for awhile. We had a big spike for the 07 Tourney appearance, but it died back down the following season. Season tickets cost only a little more than this 1 ticket.

I'm hoping that Kansas fans are such basketball die hards that they will want to be there for the morning session, at least to root against KSU.

If we could get the Kansas people out to cheer for UNT we would practically have a home game.

Fun game to watch, but some really terrible calls/non calls towards the end ruined it for me. W&M was called for a block when a UNC player picked up the ball, lowered his shoulder and just blasted the defender. Then the UNC player slams the ball that bounces 30 feet in the air right in the middle of the court and no technical. W&M was a lot of fun to watch and will have to keep an eye out for them next year.

No, it sounded like he was glad to be playing in OKC. He mentioned something about it being good for the players and fans rather than Milwaukee or New York.

It's funny how stats can be made to work in any way. Just earlier I was being torn apart for looking at more factors than just 15 seed vs. 14 seed overall win percentages. But I really like the guards shooting average between 37-58%. Doesn't really narrow much down.

Do we get a 2nd allotment if we sell out our 1st, or what?

I'll wait to see who/where we play before I consider how much of a chance we have. Things happen in life outside of statistics.

500 vocal fans is about what we have at home games anyway. Does that not give the guys any kind of boost? If you don't think so, then I guess you win. Give me that #9 team with our guys flying in to Buffalo over the #8 team and the team only having the trip to OKC! Can't wait to get your blogs and pics from up there. Remember your raincoat!

Sure, as long as I can count on those who want a 14 seed regardless of factors such as match ups, travel and fan support to provide the same from Buffalo, NY, Milwaukee, WI or where ever you want the team to play. I want our guys to have the best chance to win. If that means playing the #8 team in the country rather than the #9 team in the country and the guys only have to travel to OKC and will have a good crowd backing them, then that is fine with me. But if some of yall feel that playing a team that is ranked 1 spot lower and having our guys travel half way across the country with no fan support will give them a better chance, then that is your opinion and you are welcome to it. But think about it from their perspective first and what will give them the most confidence. Because it doesn't matter who we will play in the first round, if our guys don't come out and play over their heads then it doesn't matter anyway. I want them to have the best chance of doing that.

And if you go only by that then you are ignoring huge factors such as fan support, travel, match ups, etc... and that makes absolutely no sense to me.
