Trying to make sense of recruiting walk on OL for next year's class

I didn't read this as next year's class. I read it as next year as in the next walk-on camp for 2024. This one for 2023 has already passed. The kids they're reaching out to will be at least college freshmen this year and didn't get that D1 scholarship out of high school.

The 6'8"player is not a walk-on.  He is a scholarship player from Humble.  The big 400 pounder committed after his senior year of high school when (I believe) he only had interest from one or two MAC teams.  He really moves for a big man.  They're hard to find so you snap them up when you can.  He had enough confidence in himself that he believed that he would get a scholarship after a walk-on year.  I believe that he will.  He's that good.  Another lineman that big and that good doesn't come along very often.
