Interesting to see a kid from Locust Grove (home of QB Mason Fine and WR Jason Pirtle)

Really can't tell how big he is and he seems to stride through some of his routes, but he catches most of his passes with his hands.  Could be another Pirtle and walk-on or be a PWO.

Offers? Interest from anyone?

Has offers from Bowling Green, and Prarie View A&M. Kid can play and is one of the hardest workers I've ever been around.

Don't we have a coach from The Colony on the board?  Would love to hear his scouting report.  Like his film as a SS.

Lol yeah we do I heard he is a dummy!! Gibbs is the truth.  TCU coach that came through "What in the ______ is every G5 within 200 miles doing not offering this kid."

Well let's hope that he puts on a show for UNT staff and they offer.

On the topic of the Camp, but away from the individual players.

Shouldn't we expect a lot more offers to be announced? Possibly even a commitment, I have no knowledge of anything pending but just asking.

Also, just saying it would be a great time for Wren and the AD for them to announce/present the new IPF with the kids coming in. Having the images/plans in the offices and the locker room would give these kids something else to think/remember about UNT.

To me the biggest advantage for North Texas is actually getting these kids on campus and seeing our facilities. Normally some of these kids wouldn't give us the time of day and may ultimately be surprised by what we currently have and what is soon to come. (ie. Indoor practice facility, facility upgrades, etc.)

Exactly!  Getting kids to actually see and " experience" UNT, even for a short visit, is definitely a plus.  Getting their parents and player buddies to see it adds to the benefits as well in my opinion.  Too many people still, to this day, have no idea how improved UNT has become and is continuing to become.  Got to get them on campus...this will help.

I just wish they (The AD office and sports teams) would have already announced the IPF and its design, or if anything I'm hoping UNT is talking (to these players) about what they will be potentially be doing once it is announced.

Give these kids an idea what is in the pipeline! So they see the down range ideas and future progress

Some that stood out:

18' DT James Williams; Aledo  Wears 92, built like a fireplug, etc...  Just sayin? http://247sports.com/player/james-williams-46040199

19' DE Deondre Davis; Allen  http://www.hudl.com/profile/7346498/deondre-davis

18' QB/WR/CB Ryan Humphries; Sulphur Springs  Fun video, really athletic, but size is an issue.  https://www.hudl.com/profile/3914136/ryan-humphries

18' WR Kobe Bivins; Cedar Hill  Big Target, transfer from Frisco Independence  http://www.hudl.com/profile/4254505/kobe-bivins

19' C Branson Bragg; Crandall  Good offer list.  http://247sports.com/Player/Branson-Bragg-45573079

We just offered Bragg today, but so did OU..

Williams looks a lot like English, maybe even quicker. Surprised he only has Army and AF, would love to add him to this group of DL.

Humphries looks like he can play but no idea where he would play, I'm assuming it would be at WR/RB/SS i didn't see that in his hudl video him playing anything besides QB. Also, at 5'10 and 170+ running a 4.4 would be a nice addition just in terms of size and speed.

I am done.  It is interesting when you start looking at some of these young men.  A number attended that are not in the 2018 Class, a lot of 19's and a few 20's, that I didn't even include.  There are also so many that are just trying to get noticed, that we won't give a second look to either because of size or poor measurables.  There was one DT that attended that is listed at 5'7".  I tried to list the ones that stood out to me and then it just became overwhelming.  Twitter is crazy.  I don't know how people have the time to always post everything they have going on.  It is crazy.

How many kids normally come to these camps? 200-300?

Somewhere in that number allows kids tons of reps and evaluation, more than that and it is very tough.  We had over 800 granted, that 800 was split between 2 sessions but still a ton of kids.  This was a camp anyone comes to that pays the $ so you have inflated #s because kid said think they can play.  As Lifer said there were plenty that had no business being there, just giving away $.  There's a megacamp at A&M Commerce this Saturday and the following Saturday that caps it at 200 kids.

I think this camp was more useful in getting as many area high schools in the building at once. While we did come out with some good evaluation/offers yesterday, more kids will go back to their teams and coaches and talk about how great UNT is, opening more doors for the future.

Word of mouth travels fast
