Can't wait for tonight's game against UTEP. If we win it marks team progress and opens up legitimate possibilities. Go Mean Green !!!!!

Maybe it's just me, but I think if we win tonight the odds are very good that we hit six. I think we get pumped up for and whip FIU at home, and that we head into SA with fire in our eyes and get revenge for last season's loss. We've got to pull off a tough one tonight first. Not TOO conservative tonight Mac please!!

This year is interesting. As rough as the season has been, if we hit six we'll probably go to a very desirable bowl.

Why? CUSA will have an extra bowl slot open if Marshall qualifies as the representative in the New Year’s Six bowl spot guaranteed to the highest-ranked champion of the Mountain West, Conference USA, Sun Belt, Mid American and American conferences. That very likely will happen.

Additionally, within the next few minutes WKU will be placing the final dagger in Army's bowl hopes as they deliver the Black Knights seventh loss this season. Army was slated to be in the Armed Forces Bowl in Fort Worth on January 2. The Armed Forces bowl will be scrambling to find a replacement team that can put butts in the seats and a bowl eligible North Texas would be high on their wish list. (AAC representative will quite possibly be Houston)

Beat UTEP!

Not sure where you're seeing that Army was playing in the bowl. The Armed Forces Bowl website says AAC vs Big 12

Read the site, The Armed Forces Bowl was contracted to have an AAC team play Army this season, Right now the bowl committee is hoping and praying that there will be a Big 12 school available after that conference has filled all its other contracted bowl slots.

Armed Forces will have the 7th placed team from the 10 schools in the Big 12. Right now, Kansas, Texas Tech, and Iowa State are already eliminated from bowl contention. The loser of tonight's Texas -Oklahoma State matchup may have an uphill climb.
