So, we lost by 3 points and 4 points to a #8 seed, and by 5 points to a #12 seed. I think we are competing on a good level and can beat any of these teams on any given day.7 points

I can understand trying to avoid FAU, or even Memphis but every team can present a match-up problem. We've been undersized all year, but we present our own match-up problems too (Edwards, CJ in the post). If RJ and Scott can stay out of foul trouble, we can make a run. Defense is our identity and those two are the heartbeat.4 points

Wrong- we are a good team that can win this thing! The odds are against us but we need to remember our roots (Defense) and hang our hat there. It is an up hill battle but we can do it.3 points

That would be awesome, but I bet the NIT only takes two teams from the AAC. Memphis, SMU, UAB, and Charlotte all have better resumés. Maybe a run to conference title game would do it.3 points

You say “rejoins his dad,” but when was the last time he played where his dad coached? But, yeah, why start a new thread on this topic?3 points

A run is winning 3 games, which means making the championship game. Won’t be easy, but we’re healthy now.2 points

If we miss out on the other two tournaments, then yes. Yes to any postseason basketball. Try to raise a banner every year.2 points

Great take after one year and a late start on first year recruiting. I think I will hold the coach damnation until I see one more season. By the way who was your choice for the job that NT had any chance of hiring?2 points

I can't stand the mentality of "let's avoid this team, etc" especially a team with 5 conference wins. I guarantee you the coaches and players don't care. Just win the game and advance.2 points

Ladies take their first AAC game, 5-0 tonight against an ECU team that was 21-2 entering the series. Back at it tomorrow.1 point

Regardless of what happens in the Big 12 tournament, I think its safe to say we locked up the #1 overall seed. Of course having a 20 point halftime lead on Kansas helps too.1 point

At the first football game a couple of years ago it worked. It was set at a low angle and it was highly pressurized ( or something). The shirts fired out like rockets! It legit could have hurt someone (like a bruise, not decapitated). After every shot, you could hear the whoosh of the shot and the gasps from the crowd. The rest of the season, I would brace myself, but it never happened again. I still laugh about it every so often. 😂1 point

Not settling. It's being realistic. I would rather have the NIT, but I think if we don't make that, CBI is a nice consolation for a first year head coach.1 point

You might get a little better response with phrasing it as if he leaves instead of when he joins his dad. I think he plays at NT, but it is not a sure bet that he will win the starting spot.1 point

I don’t think he called either pathetic. Now, if they didn’t properly test it to learn how to use it and to work out any issues with the equipment, then the failure is on them.1 point

I have already said this. Grant won the CBI his first season. That would be a great accomplishment for this team. Honestly, I don't even want to go to the NCAA. NIT or CBI.1 point

Moving the 'little boys' out of the NIT, from what I can gather. So, we might not even get a sniff from the NIT.1 point

Both he and Tyran Mason (our other signee) can definitely score the basketball. If that translates to the college game, we may see a more potent offense in a few years.1 point

What makes you think Chandler not coming? Right now Stone is getting most of the 1st team reps. Cash is getting most 2nd team reps and some 1st team. Reese is mainly 3rd team reps right now.1 point

We had some FAU fans sitting in front of us last night and they actually turned around and told me I needed to chill out because I was cheering our team and yelling at the refs. She said there was no need to get so into the game if I didn't have money on it. Lady, don't come into my house and tell me how to act. On a related note, I am so tired of paying for season tickets year after year and ending up with obnoxious visiting fans sitting around us. Just whining, sorry.1 point

It really doesn't make sense to me. How hard is it to take it to a field and test it so you can fix it. Kinda sad for a Tier 1 university....1 point

1. If you are counting on other teams to fill your stadium then you are SMU. 2. Wyoming is a very good team and a measuring stick for where we are as a program. They were 9-4 last year! 3. You need to beat upper-level Mid-majors if you want to start establishing a foundation to build on.1 point

If they do break off for football I hope the NCAA immediately kicks them out for all sports. No more NCAA tournament or CWS.1 point
