This is all dizzying. I cant keep up with it all. So who cares. I’m just gonna show up/tune in and watch the 11 on our team on offense and the 11 on our team on defensive (whoever they are) and hope that at the end of the game, we have more points than they do.10 points

well that's a pretty short list... and i think you mean they didn't fire them that season... the previous two coaches that led us to bowl games also led the program to dumpster fire status...10 points

You don't have to "find" a team when a team has already reached out to you and made an offer ($$$MU$$$).7 points

I’m all for these dudes getting the money they’ve long deserved, but feels like there needs to be some sort of transfer window implemented. Once a certain date has passed, you’re locked into that team for the next season OR have to sit out if you do wish to leave. 2 months before the season is rough.7 points

IMO, you're wrong. He barely kept his job last year at 6-6 and won't be brought back if he repeats that. It gets murky at 7-5. It would probably depend on how competitive we are in our losses. Like if we lose to the 5 best teams on our schedule by double digits I don't think Littrell is brought back. Or if we lose ANOTHER bowl game to finish at 7-6 then I think Wren Baker will decide to move on. You can't fundraise with a .500 program.7 points

Bennett's defense is toast. He's going to have to put together his best-ever coaching season to get our defense to even resemble anything like we had last year. Thankfully we're strong up the middle on the line with Brown & Jackson. Those guys are going to have to control the LOS & clog any interior running lanes, because they have virtually nothing behind them at MLB or Safety to clean up anymore. Sorry y'all, but you don't lose Dion Novil, Caleb Colvin, Gabe & Grayson Murphy, KD Davis, Makyle Sanders, & Tyreke Davis, and expect to have the same success as last year.6 points

Texas insiders and such seem to really think Texas will be the landing spot. If this is tampering, I expect a commitment within the next 3 days…6 points

Why has the new Athletic Building not been announced and started? Could it be that the donating alumni are doing a wait and see. His recruiting has fallen off a cliff, which I think is a big red flag. I also think Gunnell better be a home run! A lot of alumni will not support a 6&6 with a bowl game with horrible recruiting and not being able to develop a Qb.6 points

Extend him for 7 wins? Just because UTSA made a mistake doesn't mean we should make an even worse one.6 points

Hey guys! Haven't posted in a while. But, read about an alarming trend and wanted to see if anyone else is a little concerned. Research from Universidade Santo Amaro shows a troubling trend in human transmission vectors for the potentially fatal Brazilian Spotted Fever. Obviously, it's a long way from Brazil to Texas. But, when a study finds serological and molecular evidence of widespread incidence, it's probably a good idea to stay informed and on guard. From ticks, to dogs, to humans... It's a pathway to potentially deadly illness that's as easy to visualize here as it is there. Mods, please feel free to move if there's any issue with discussion of São Paulo ticks.5 points

It looks like they are still subject to the portal entry cut off dates. Even if they haven’t officially graduated or submitted graduation paperwork, they still have to enter their name in the portal by the cutoff dates to obtain immediate eligibility per this document. http://fs.ncaa.org/Docs/eligibility_center/Transfer/OneTime_Transfer.pdf5 points

Littrell or not, whatever. Doesn’t matter. This is an insanely flawed system that’s relegated us to a P5 farm system. It’s a joke this late in the game. Screw the system and screw him. I’ll say it. Don’t care. I’m pissed.5 points

the previous coaches did not have a Bowl Game Created specifically for the team, they earned the bowls not backing in due to grades and a losing record. Bowl games are handed out like candy now days, so being average to even below average gets you into a bowl.5 points

but I thought PB was our God Send for the defense? Why have the 3 best Defensive Players transferred?5 points

We really need to do away with historical trends in Denton. We are in a vastly different environment with our spending and administrative interests compared to previous generations. I think momentum will play a part in Wren's decision. If we win a bowl game (I don't think we will be, but I'll play along), I think we have to be finishing a 3+ game win streak for SL to feel safe. On the contrary, if a bowl win brings our last 4 games to 1-3, SL should be sweating. Wren is always so positive about our athletics, which is great, but it has made it very hard to read where he stands on SL.5 points

Fla let 8-4 Mullen go and Miami let 7-5 Diaz go. It just depends on what your expectations are.5 points

This type of player movement will only drive interest in college sports further down. We saw the same thing w/ the one and dones. It sounds like it's such a great idea, but part of the allure of college sports (or sports in general) is watching players grow, earn their time, and become great. You get to KNOW the names of the players on most teams. Other than UNT, how many of you know any players on any other teams anymore. I grew up knowing the starting five for every Big East and ACC team. Ratings and attendance are dwindling across the board!4 points

https://www.vegasinsider.com/college-football/odds/win-totals/ Vegas has us at 6.5 wins on the season. I’ll take the over all day. Phil Bennett in year two, young / improved talent coming back, a stable of horses at RB under the direction P. Cobbs, healthy / improved WR corp, and a potential upgrade at QB. Sign me up!3 points

Seriously? 6 wins is low-hanging fruit for an FBS program with a 7th year coach. 6 wins should = pink slip!3 points
