Attendance For Today's Game

The Texas st game had a ton of tech fans, it was the unveiling of their updated stadium and they just beat Houston. UTSA is a new team in a large city desperate for anything, new program with no negative connotations. I'm pretty sure the Jacksonville jaguars killed in attendance at first too. Totally irrelevant to what UNT is doing. Don't look in the side mirror, look forward. Tell a friend about UNT. GMG!

We had 2k more in attendance than "Dallas's team".

I wonder how many SFA folks were at the game. I know The Ticket had ads pretty much all week from SFA telling all their alumni and fans in the area to come to the game and tailgate. I imagine there must have been maybe 2-3k people from the SFA side. However in attendance we also need to keep it into perspective that SMU is a third in size of NT. Let's not worry about SMU does and focus on our school and the rest will take care of itself.

As someone who took part in freshman orientation this year, I can agree that they make attending those games very appealing. Especially the ULL game that'll be broadcast on ESPN2.

Also, from the student side of things I can say that others were pretty happy, and from what I can tell, we will be coming in droves for the other home games this season as well. Great atmosphere.

This is what we need!!

Watching dvr'ed broadcast on 21 this morning, the students kicked our(the alumni side) butts last night. Well done students. For shame alumni. We need to show up for Troy and shiw the students we mean business.

Our attendance circle drill, the students win game one. A little healthy competition?

yea but 8 K less than SA's team and about 10.5K less than San Marcos's team

San Marcos' team was playing Tech, which probably brought in as many teams as Texas State. UTSA, on the other hand, is the only game (college or pro football) in town, so they are probably going to have solid attendance numbers no matter who they play.

That C-USA logo on the field might bring in some more fans by itself next season for the Mean Green.

SA's team gives away free tickets and San Marcos's team played Texas Tech. We don't and played TSU. Big difference. BTW, were you at the game?

If by "game" you mean dateless on a Saturday night (again), alone in his mother's basement, furiously typing away on 15 different fan message boards...

Then yes, he was at the "game."
