When North Texas was member of the Missouri Valley... we were considered the absolute toughest place to play basketball in the "Old SNAKE PIT". The crowd was up close to the action and extremely loud and very vocal. We had a lot of top-10 teams coming in.. Louisville, Cincinnati, Memphis, Bradley, Wichita and some others that were top-10 teams in that era. We were well known for our rambunctious behavior. It was so crazy then that you had to get there very early if you wanted a seat... especially on week-nites..not so much on weekends with so many leaving campus.

I attended games in the old Pit, and it was great.

My personal opinion is not to throw tortilla's or anything else.

Looks trashy, cheap, high schoolish, and leaves a mess all over the place.

I believe the fans of North Texas can develop a better "tradition" for each

touchdown scored! Show some class folks, not trash!

4) I don't think anyone else is doing it

5) I believe they are available in green - at least they are considered green

making a lot of noise is also a really good way to celebrate a touchdown. To do that, having a lot of fans in the stands has been known to help. To get them there, the showing of boobs could only help. To encourage that, we should follow UH, start selling beer in the stands. AS beer increases, inhibition decreases, thus increasing the likelihood of boobage which will in turn encourage attendance and without a doubt make the place a louder, more raucous place to take in a game.

In short, beer is the answer to all of North Texas' problems.

Green Towels. Sure it's an A & M rip off, but it would be colorful, whatever shade of green, and the towels could be used to wipe sweat during the early part of the season. GOMEANGREEN or some other spirit group could sell them outside the stadium.

It would be cool if we set out rally towels in the seats before games that way when people took a seat their color would be there and we could spell out UNT or MEAN GREEN with green and white towels. Even having different colored lines reach all around the stadium would be cool.

Of course the problem would be attendance. Maybe we could try it at the Navy game.

And you're wrong, Playmaker. No one has been injured, but people have been hit in the face with those damn things and it does hurt. People pick them up off the ground and throw them at each other. I totally agree. Tortillas all over the field look like crap. Getting hit in the back of the head with one sucks too. Those poor cheerleaders ducking and diving. Is there any worthwhile program in the country that throws something besides Tech? You wanna throw something? How about you throw up your talons and scream.
