I don't think I'll even buy their mag this season because of that.

Ok, here was the response from their editor to my e-mail questioning our omission:

Thanks for your email. North Texas, as well as many other

schools, should be on the list. It was an oversight/miscommunication

between our editorial staff and our web programmers. Sorry for the

error. It should be fixed shortly.

Just for clarification, there is a difference:

Rules & Conditions

1. Your school must receive at least 1,000 pleages in order to qualify for a Special Edition Custom Cover.
2. A minimum of 1,000 pledges must complete the purchase of the Special Edition Custom Cover prior to March 31, 2007 in order for that magazine to be produced. An email will be sent to all pledges indicating when they can begin making payment.
3. If the required 1,000 minimum purchases are not completed by the deadline, all customers who already completed the transaction for the magazine will not be charged and that magazine will not be produced.
4. Athlon Sports will determine which edition will serve as the contents for each Special Edition. (ie. Southeastern, Big 10, Big 12, etc...)
5. Athlon Sports will determine the look of each Special Edition Magazine (call-outs, title, athlete, photo, etc.) and makes no guarantees as to the contents of each school's Special Edition in advance.
6. Once Athlon Sports has received the required minimum of 1,000 orders, the order information will be processed and the Special Edition will go into production. At that time there will be no refunds. All sales are final.

Most of us probably read this magazine anyway so why not commit? If we can get 950 commitments this week we'll have us a collectors edition.

We need periodic updates. It seems that if you retrurn, the barometer shows 0% until you commit.

I wonder if Lera would be interested in buying another 10-12 copies?
