MGB: Dan McCarney's farewell letter to UNT fans

Not sure I can agree with this.

He drove us into a ditch, but I still like and respect him. He did help us in certain ways. Stubborn people stuck in their ways can be a bitch to deal with. I hope he gets a position job somewhere. Like in Iowa, which is a place that he obviously longs for. Maybe he and the McNultys can get together and create the second coming of McDonald's up there somewhere.

The letter started out strong and I was happy to be reading it, there was a great part 3/5ths of the way in, but things took a bad turn after that and I was left disappointed.

Too soon?

Best of luck to the coach. His 2013 season will be fondly remembered for a long time around here.

Mac is such a class act- I will always be a fan of his.  I really wish it had worked out for him.  I will really miss his enthusiasm and love for North Texas.  UNT is a better place because of him.

Mac for AD?

well, not OUR A.D....But honestly, I think Mac should consider that type of job next.  You may not like his coaching, but he is a great public speaker, commands attention, and is likeable.  He'd get a lot of boosters to write checks.

Good Luck Mac.
