Slim Chickens coming to Denton?

If ever in Cowtown and looking for a burger, skip the hyped-up Kincaid's and squeeze into Charlie's Burgers on Granbury road just north of South Loop 820.

P.S. It's been a little over a year since In-And-Out opened on 7th street. The fact that it's doors are still open is a good sign that out of town visitor business is doing well.

Charlie's takes way too long for me, I went there about a month ago and it took 25 minutes to get my meal. I think Kincaid's, Dutch's, Tommy's, and Fred's all have a better burger.

In-N-Out over on 7th has been open for 3-4 years. That location gets a lot of late night business from people leaving the bars.

Anyone ever tried Rudy's on Lancaster at Kiest? Have read some good reviews, but have not had a chance to check it out.

My buddy raves about Rudy's. So much so that I can't believe I forgot about them. He said they're so good, he had them for breakfast, lunch, & dinner one day. Said the workers in there looked at him like he was crazy.

:D

Denton is getting a Cane's. It' gonna be at Rayzor Ranch over in the empty lot between the Chick-fil-a and the Starbucks. They just haven't started on it yet.

There's also another Chili's going in over in that area. I still have no clue what that new gas station next to the RaceTrack is.

I have had two different people tell me it's a bigger RaceTrack. Both told me that they think they are losing out on too much gas so they needed a bigger location.

It has to be. They put the flashing up on the awning for the pumps today and its identical to the RaceTrack next door.... such a letdown.

Yup, though I've never stood in line at Kincaid's you have to be patient at Charlie's.

I wonder why that is?

The one thing I loved about Denton was the food choices. I almost cried when Hooya's when out of business, put chipotle and that other place to shame (place on 380).

As far as raising canes goes....its ok but I wouldnt just go there with all of the other stuff around it.

Never been to Hooyas. Always heard good things about them. Chipotle is decent. I will admit, their Barbacoa is pretty damn good.
