This kid has some wheels on him. No FBS offers and 280 yards from breaking the Tyler Roses school record for yards in a season. He is only 5"6 but the kid can play.

Here are my two reasons why I would be more than happy if UNT offered.

1. You get a potential stud who has WHEELS.

2. Every East TX kid notices UNT coming out and giving East TX boys a chance. That is a bond stronger than most things besides family in those parts. Really would like to see him in the return game/slot/RB passing game.

According to a recent Sports Illustrated article, there were 111 players last year "listed" at 5'10" or shorter in the NFL. I don't give a damn how tall a guy is as long as he can play.

Just don't expect us to offer. We know who this kid is and have for a while. If we were going to offer, we likely would've done so a long time ago. Plus, we've only offered one running back this class, and he's going to Arkansas (Rawleigh Williams). We've been pretty set on not taking a running back for a while.

If we're going to get any Chancellor type player this year, it's probably Jerbrell Lipscomb. He's a Sparq verified/laser timed 5'8" 184 lbs and 4.47 40. Lipscomb is committed to us and has almost 800 yards receiving and has returned a kickoff 99 yards for a touchdown this season. Other than him, we don't appear to be pursuing any small, athlete type players.

Sorry, don't mean to be a party pooper. But it does remind me a lot of Tevin Pipkin for Carthage last year. Teammate of Tee Goree and O'Keeron Rutherford who was a small yet productive HS running back. We just didn't offer.

But we landed Jeffery Wilson and Willy Ivery. So running back is hardly going to be a concern going forward.

Oh I know Billy. I just like how small and elusive he is but if the Stable is full then there is no more room. I am excited for what the future holds for Wilson and Ivery
