There's zillions of transfers that don't wind up starting at their new spot. That said, I hated losing him and I'm still mad at him but that's also selfish of me. I'm mad at the system more than I'm mad at him...but I'm still mad at him too.4 points

Moore was open . She is a senior and a good shooter . I loved the play call, That shot was clean and as close as can be to going in.4 points

I feel like either the regular season is overrated or some teams wait for the tournament. #9 ECU vs. #10 Rice for the championship3 points

We should get a WNIT bid, too. We got one a few years ago at 17-12.2 points

Well if that's the case, his advisors gave him bad advice. He played well here last year. However, this will be his 5th school since 2019. We shouldn't be shocked he left. As soon as adversity hits, he leaves. Southern Miss- Blinn- ULM- UNT- Cal1 point

On the UTSA-Temple broadcast, they said recent projections show FAU as a 9 seed, USF as a 12 if they get the autobid (probably not in otherwise like you said), and Memphis as a first four out. Really just depends on what happens in other conference tournaments at this point. I'm guessing the broadcasters were going off Lunardi's predictions as that's about what he has as well. Obviously I want us to get the auto bid. Either way, it would be great for the conference to send 3 teams to the Big Dance. https://www.espn.com/espn/feature/story/_/page/bracketology/ncaa-bracketology-2024-march-madness-men-field-predictions1 point

Interesting article about washing your freaking hands, and how unique human hands are. Yeah, it's dorky. Don't Be Gross.1 point

Unfortunately the answer is yes. But upsets happen. The proverbial “if X played Y 10 times, then they would win 9” is always in play. The loss by the better team can happen at anytime during the “10 games”. It could happen on Friday.1 point

Tell me about walk-up tickets. Can I expect tickets at door to be about the same as advance/internet pricing?1 point

I’m not so quick to call Morris a bad hire. He cleaned house after this past season, but it probably should have been when he took the job. This year is his guys. Let’s see what this year brings. I’m a bit more optimistic.1 point

It did the Horns no favors either as it prolonged the David McWilliams era. A honestly called game would have had him gone by Sunday morning. Who knows who Dodds could have hired had he gotten an earlier start.1 point

Shanice Stephens had to walk from Fort Worth to Denton as a result of this game. Her progress is slow since she is carrying a big notebook.1 point

Um, Morris passed on Texas State, not the other way around. And we are paying Morris far more than what Texas State is paying their coach. Now, you may want to argue that we would have done better to hire the guy Texas State hired. But that's a different conversation.1 point
-
Agree 100%. I was hoping we would make more of a splash hire like Justin Fuente. Instead we got a guy Texas State pas on. So I guess you get what you pay for.1 point

Morning after and it still hurts. We had a really good path to the NCAA Tournament with Tulsa and Charlotte going down. The only remaining team that had beaten us was UTSA twice, in games we blew. Women follow the same theme as the men, struggle more against the CUSA refugees (5 of their 6 conference losses) than the AAC teams. Proving we belong in this conference.1 point

We made the trek out to Ft Worth from Plano for the game. A few thoughts: Not my first trip to the arena, but Dickies is a very nice midsized arena. I know we weren't supposed to like The Star, but even with the upper levels curtained off, Dickies feels cavernous with no people in it. Takes away the energy in a bit, even more than an empty Super Pit. This Mean Green Women's BB team attempts to play a fast-paced offense that we haven't seen in years of watching Mens BBall with Hodge and Mac before that. The Mean Green Women's fast-paced offense sometimes feels totally out of control. I am not a BBall savant, but their ball-handling skills cannot keep up with the pace of the offense they are attempting to play. The Rice defense appeared to shut down our offense at times, especially when we made sloppy passes through traffic in the middle that lacked power. It was clear who could sink 3s from the Rice team. I think it was #11 and #3 (I might have the second number wrong; I think she was a blondish white girl). We frequently left them open at the top of the arc, and they frequently scored from those positions. When the pace seems to get out of control, Burton needs to call a Timeout. There were a few times when we were perfectly fine letting the whole game get fast and sideways, but a simple timeout would have brought the pace to zero and given us time to reset. Burton gives Littrell vibes in this regard. You don't get extra points for saving your timeouts or having so many at the end that you just call them one after another in the final seconds. I feel for the women's team and understand the gravity of a 3-way tie winning the regular season and looking like you're going to go out in the first game in the Conf Tourney. Still, you GOTTA pull it together in the clutch final seconds of a winnable basketball game. Burton needs to find a way to bring the mental fortitude of the team up for next season. Great job, Women's team. I say that sincerely, and I also acknowledge and apologize for how easy it is for all of us to be Monday Morning Quarterbacks. I'm excited for the years ahead! Regroup, improve, mature, and recruit great in the offseason, and we will only see greater successes next season.1 point

He's started to own the SWAC Tournament the way he did the Sun Belt tournament. Don't be surprised if Texas Southern is playing in the final again with a chance to get back to the NCAAs.1 point

Great take after one year and a late start on first year recruiting. I think I will hold the coach damnation until I see one more season. By the way who was your choice for the job that NT had any chance of hiring?1 point

6-9 are all a toss-up and each have huge question marks going into this season. We could easily move ahead of any of them, but we have huge questions as well.1 point
