White stripe is strictly for film purposes. Coaches have a much better idea where the players eyes are when that giant white stripe is pointed towards where they SHOULD be looking or where they SHOULDN'T be looking. Takes the players ability to lie about where they were looking away. Eye in the sky don't lie.5 points

If you read Jim Williams's post, it's ALL speculative. Those are HIS ideas, not something currently in progress. FSU still has not found a way out of the grant of rights. Louisville is certainly questionable for the B1G - they wouldn't take OSU or WSU so I'm not sure why they'd take Louisville. This COULD happen in a few years, but certainly no reason to panic like it's going to happen for 2025!4 points

FAU's Dusty May on playing the Mean Green in Denton Wednesday night: "they're healthy now. They've played extremely well with a full roster. They beat Memphis at home. And then they bring in Rubin Jones and CJ Nolan back from injury and they sputtered the first game or two. I think sometimes you bring a guy back from injury and you just expect him to work back in seamlessly. In reality, roles change, rotations change, it's not quite that simple. And as we know it, every game is hard to win and is a challenge to win. So they played as well offensively as they have all season yesterday vs East Carolina at home, so they're clicking with a full roster and we're very well aware of how difficult it's going to be to win and in The Pit."4 points

I agree. Any growth at a non-power conference school with today's plethora of entertainment options and generation of students who don't care as much about sports is good.3 points

One could just as easily blame alumni or Denton area residents given there are hundreds of thousands. The reality is it's growth. We just need to to continue! We average 4100+ this year...shoot for 4500+ next year, etc..3 points

Try Tri Champions, you would have to put Temple in there as well…all three teams with five loses/13 wins. Just win the tournament, champion stands alone and only team to get an invite to the NCAA tournament!2 points

Channel 8 gave a "shoutout" to our WBB program's record-setting number of wins on last night's sports segment. Was nice to hear it publicized in the local media. Now let's beat Memphis and get part of the conference championship! GMG2 points

Thank y’all for the kind words. You know I’ve always felt like one of the most blessed people on earth for being able to share life with three different families. My family at home, my fire family at work and my Mean Green family. Emergency workers need their families to de stress and take their thoughts of the shift somewhere else, and this family, my Mean Green family has certainly done that for me. Whether we are fighting over our opinions on subjects of the moment, or loving each other in celebrating Mean Green successes…it’s all been a family to me and helped me focus on happier times. My last shift yesterday was an overwhelming day of emotion, reflection and joy seeing family and friends and coworkers one last time at the station. I greatly appreciate hearing from so many of you, and was especially proud seeing @SilverEagle repping the Mean Green at my station, as well as his Mean Green alumn son Jeff, or as he’s known now on the FWFD, Chief Covert. I hope to make more games now, hopefully more road games, though my wife’s Honey-Do list has now grown longer than a @PlummMeanGreen post on national “Stadium Day”. So I’ll see how it goes. So till the next tailgate,….It’s All Good And All Green. Rick2 points

There will continue to be jockeying between the AAC/MWC/PAC to create a "best of the rest" conference that gets the conference champion access to the playoff.1 point

On a serious note, it is crazy to me that Waco just finished expanding I-35 to eight lanes while it forever for Denton to get to six, and Fort Worth to Denton is still only four. Meanwhile I never have to exit there, but seeing all the development in Argyle and Robson Ranch area makes me mad for the people who have to suffer a two-lane FM 407 everyday.1 point

The 1st four are claimed. But I have got 8 more! Hit me up @UNTLifer and I will get them transferred over to you!1 point

We have both grown and we have moved up. It wasn’t too long ago we were in a Conference with Nicholls St, NW St, SFA. Now we have a Conference with Army, Memphis, Tulane, etc.1 point

They should have done this 15 years ago before the stadium opened. That tiny rural road going in there is pitiful.1 point

I guess we are TOO good to play a Wyoming team that went 9-4 last season who beat Texas Tech and also won their bowl game...1 point
-
Wyoming and the MWC are peer schools we should try to schedule. Much better than any FCS!1 point
-
1. If you are counting on other teams to fill your stadium then you are SMU. 2. Wyoming is a very good team and a measuring stick for where we are as a program. They were 9-4 last year! 3. You need to beat upper-level Mid-majors if you want to start establishing a foundation to build on.1 point

Been a rough season for sure. If we had a closer on this team I could see 5-6 more wins this year. I have faith in Hodge, he's given me that through 5 years as McCasland's #2, and as a winner in the JC ranks. Only 2 blowout losses this season. Some gritty wins. He is not Benford, thats for sure.1 point

Unless we are a perennial top 20-25 program, I don't know why it is acceptable to knowingly sign bench/role players. J. Morgan was not a good player in high school. Why would we expect more from him now? Stone was the 3rd best kid on his Oklahoma HS team. Why would he be a key guy on the G5 level? The kid from Kilgore JC (not sure he is on scholarship) just started playing the game. Our recruiting has been boom or bust for the past 5-6 years. Half of the recruits have excelled while the other half have been busts. Stop wasting valuable scholarships on kids of great character that may be great in practice. Treat each scholarships like it's the only one we have. There are too many good/great players that we pass up that could really help this program. (with no known issues) More so in football. Just my weekly rant1 point
