  1. I prefer the white pants when wearing the green tops. And while I like the icy whites, I don’t mind the occasional white tops with green helmet/pants.

  5. So he allegedly groped her in public on multiple occasions? And there are no witnesses despite many people being around? And no video evidence despite cameras being on? And there is no evidence of inappropriate communication from him to her? How do you sort all of this out? What a mess.

  7. Bloesch had the co-OC title heading into that season with Mainord but Littrell was calling the plays. Neither Wallis nor Bloesch were ever tasked with calling the offense that season.

  8. Jason Burton’s basketball team is FUN to watch . Good athletes playing tough defense and team ball. We are 5-1 with the only loss to Texas A&M , who we outscored in the 2nd half . MBB fans - go watch them in person and give the ladies a watch on ESPN+ to give them a chance and see what I mean . I have not watched the WBB team since the Tina Slinker days . I am confident this is the best team since the Jalie Mitchell/Rosalyn Reades team, if not better . inside players for ‘23-‘24 team are talented with Lampkin and Bernal. Moore is very good mid range player . Guards will push it and players will run the floor. Djani Robinson’s heart can not be matched. She is playing hurt and playing well through it. Let’s turn UNT into a basketball double power house and the best in the Plex.

  13. JMU is currently ranked in BOTH football and MBB polls. Random thoughts it's really, really hard to sustain success - especially in G5 FB. How long can they do it? Does this put a little smoke on the argument that you should focus ONLY on one sport? That you have to be a bball school OR a football school, and you cannot be both? what is JMU's athletic budget/spending? How does that compare to us? To the rest of the Belt? home run hires? lots of luck? Probably a bit of both https://www.espn.com/college-football/team/_/id/256/james-madison-dukes https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/team/_/id/256/james-madison-dukes https://jmusports.com/ Harrisonburg, VA Student enrollment: 22,224 (2022) Endowment: $154.7 million Harrisonburg Virginia Metropolitan Statistical Area Population: 126,562

  22. Harris apparently graduated from UNT, under the tutelage of Mercer, in 1988. He witnessed the coaching of Corky Nelson (also the AD). President was Hurley. We were in the Southland Conference and just removed from being Independent in AA (1982-1983). Scatter-shooting here: people like Harris are one of the biggest barriers we face if we want to bring in New Denton. These guys had Old Denton injected into their blood, and now carry that torch - with its respective influence - into their industry. In the case of Harris, unfortunately, that means he gets to run his mouth in front of a major Texas market. https://www.linkedin.com/in/don-harris-7542926/ EDIT: Now that I think about it, its kind of ironic that we have graduates of Mercer - a UNT Mean Green throught and through and beloved through the broadcasting industry - yet are so anti-UNT in their stereotypes. How is it possible that one can be a student of Mercer AND an anti-Mean Green athletics at the same time?

  23. By the President of the United States of America, a Proclamation. Whereas it is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favor-- and whereas both Houses of Congress have by their joint Committee requested me to recommend to the People of the United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many signal favors of Almighty God especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness. Now therefore I do recommend and assign Thursday the 26th day of November next to be devoted by the People of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being, who is the beneficent Author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be-- That we may then all unite in rendering unto him our sincere and humble thanks--for his kind care and protection of the People of this Country previous to their becoming a Nation--for the signal and manifold mercies, and the favorable interpositions of his Providence which we experienced in the course and conclusion of the late war--for the great degree of tranquility, union, and plenty, which we have since enjoyed--for the peaceable and rational manner, in which we have been enabled to establish constitutions of government for our safety and happiness, and particularly the national One now lately instituted--for the civil and religious liberty with which we are blessed; and the means we have of acquiring and diffusing useful knowledge; and in general for all the great and various favors which he hath been pleased to confer upon us. and also that we may then unite in most humbly offering our prayers and supplications to the great Lord and Ruler of Nations and beseech him to pardon our national and other transgressions-- to enable us all, whether in public or private stations, to perform our several and relative duties properly and punctually--to render our national government a blessing to all the people, by constantly being a Government of wise, just, and constitutional laws, discreetly and faithfully executed and obeyed--to protect and guide all Sovereigns and Nations (especially such as have shewn kindness unto us) and to bless them with good government, peace, and concord--To promote the knowledge and practice of true religion and virtue, and the encrease of science among them and us--and generally to grant unto all Mankind such a degree of temporal prosperity as he alone knows to be best. Given under my hand at the City of New York the third day of October in the year of our Lord 1789. Go: Washington

  29. That was when we first were going to the new Briles system and Wallis was supposed to be the guy. Then that stuff happened, Wallis had to resign, Bloesch had to try and call the Briles offense while Shanbour and that other grad assistant were left to coach the quarterbacks.

  32. Maybe. If our quarterback led the second worst performing offense in the entire FBS, would Morris keep him as the starter for a second season to prove himself? Probably not and the same should apply to Caponi. Demote him or fire him and give someone else a chance. He's never even been a DC before except for 2008-10 at Division III Washington & Jefferson. It might not be the right coaching job for him.

  33. I believe it was Grinch’s second season as DC. I know SL lost faith in the Eastern Washington coach mid season, but this situation is different. Caponi didn’t take over a top 25 defense. I see what you’re saying, but I just don’t see him getting released of his duties after the season. I could be wrong, but I don’t see it.

  40. The way we beat teams last year was we were more mentally tough than just about everyone. FAU showed that was one team we couldn't get in their heads...if anything it was the reverse. That's why FAU had the run they did last year. The Owls could focus down the stretch unlike just about anyone the last ten years or so. They arguably should have lost at least ten games last season that they won. To me that was a testament to their greatness.
