Sure, my apologies. I am an ECU fan. I joined this site shortly after North Texas joined Conference USA. I joined because I thought North Texas was a good addition to Conference USA. I do not post often, but have been complimentary of the North Texas program in the past. I am somewhat of a college football geek. I particularly enjoyed following this site last year as North Texas made its very good run. I also think you guys have one of the best coaching staff's in Conference USA.5 points

Lol. We get to see what DW can do against good competition this week. THAT is the reason this game is so important. Also, a win gets us half way to bowl eligibility. That also makes this important.4 points

What was wrong with calling it the University of North Texas School of Law in Dallas? Why must it be the University of North Texas at Dallas School of Law? Infuriating.3 points

If we win, Benford should be fired...if the game gets called for unforeseen reasons, Benford should be fired.2 points

Coach? Did he already hang up his QB cleats and put a headset on?2 points

Someone in their marketing department said let's get Carlton, Karate Kid and Stone Cold and put them in a commercial. I salute this person.2 points

Easily the biggest game in the history of the program. How we perform in this game will affect our ability to recruit for the next decade -- and possibly the next two eons. If we cannot play well against a P5 team like Indiana, what hope is there for ever getting a baseball team in Denton? Or better yet, how can we expect to resolve our accounting issues if we can't even move the chains on third down? Dajon needs to play well, if for no other reason than the fact that our eventual Tier One status depends on. I will literally die if we lose.2 points

DW is a D1 caliber QB. I know he knew the playbook well enough to do way better than 3/17 15 yds 4 ints. UT is not a good football team, at all. We spotted them a ton of field position and points bc of horrendous QB play. It may go down as one of the worst QB performances of all time. Not just at North Texas, but nation wide. He would have made a difference.2 points

Yeah, I get what Vito meant. A win on the road over a two-TD favorite that hails from a better conference would really be a solid upset--and the Dajon Williams hype would reach the stratosphere. But . . . would it be a "monumental" win for the program? I have a hard time seeing it that way, considering we've already beaten Indiana in the only other meeting.2 points

Before Mac got here North Texas didn't even have hyperbole. We had to settle for slight exaggeration.2 points

This statement can also be applied to ADs that would rather keep whoring out their program than actually working to build home attendance. Just sayin...2 points

I also figure this sort of stuff qualifies as fundamental - strength and conditioning help all of the other pieces come together. Hell, we saw what good conditioning can do for a team - that was a HUGE part of the football team's 9-4 record last year. Other teams would just plain get tired when our guys would come out with a full gas tank.2 points

Quite possibly the most hyperbole used in any article, ever.2 points

http://www.reddit.com/r/CFB/comments/2hqog3/the_rcfb_brick_fund_v_the_magnificent_seven_flair/ I had mentioned to /u/Honestly_ (the super coolest mod on /r/CFB) a while back that I would love to interface with him on a future comedic brick drive that the subreddit has been steadily churning out over the last year at different schools and college football locations. Of course there were other similar campaigns happening with other users who wanted in on things so the mods of /r/CFB have rolled them all into one big multi-tiered-school-brick-charity-fund-drive. CHECK IT OUT.2 points

yes very sad news, the NCTC Tennis Team was playing in a tournament locally and left first thing Saturday morning to be with the family and friends, plus one of the UCA members had played at NCTC. Very somber day having to finish the tournament. Prayers for the familes, friends, and the NCTC community as a whole.2 points

TCU did, also, and came much closer. And, more importantly, got an invite to the money club for their effort. Hard to beat these teams on the road, which is why a home game with them every now and then is important. We haven't had one since moving into Apogee.2 points

Both games will be tough on the road. Both games are extremely important and I dare say are rivalries.1 point

I think those rankings are about right this week. I hope things change as the season goes on, but from the results through last weekend that looks about right.1 point

We have the means to win (or should I say the williams to win...). On offense, it's their running game that is worth a damn. And we have shown we can defend the run against the Longhorns' duo and against La Tech (the two better teams). If we can keep them at 200 yards rushing it's a win. Longhorns put up 163 rushing yards on us, followed by 98 from La Tech. We are pretty stingy on that front. DW had a healthy 13 ypa against Nicholls, which bodes well against Indiana's soft secondary. On paper we have a shot.1 point

I think its an important game to see if we are a serious team that is building on last season, or a middle of the road cusa team. If we win this game, it may be our only quality win in some people's eyes.1 point

2 touchdown dogs and it would be a monumental upset? That's some crazy hyperbole there.1 point

This is why we're not undefeated, dontchaknow. But yes, I agree, best Vito article I've read. For once he's not trying to get some cloak and dagger scoop or making derisive comments about those who rubbed him wrong (even if said derisive comments may have been merited). This was a really good read.1 point

I know. I was just staying local with the 4 teams in our area. I wonder if smu and Houston are having second thoughts. smu's next 3 home games are against Cincinnati, Memphis, and South Florida. They should look on the bright side...no waiting in line at the concession stand.1 point

I'd rather not have a Top 25 contender like Okie State come to Apogee just for us to get creamed. If we're going to schedule a P5 school lets aim lower.1 point
