Plenty of reasons why we lost this game-

Turnovers

Third down woes continue

Predictable play calling

Inopportune penalties

I didn't like the back 7 so far off the LOS that last drive. We knew they were going to run.

Gotta be better on offense. Period.

People can blame Derek all they want. The problem still is the freaking play call.

we are clearly having issues kicking the ball when it's placed beyond the 10 yard line... i know it was early in the game, but you have to go for it on 4 and 1

I would love to see a breakdown of run-pass on 1st down.

Last week was 50 percent. Thinking this week is closer to the 70/30 of last year.

Just F'n maddening.

You pretty much hit the nail on the head. Sloppy, sloppy play. And back quarterbacking.

This was just sooooo stupid....killed the drive, no points, way too early, down 14pts....and a crappy kicker....this is just stupid, prehaps ultimately caused the loss

We threw one series on 1st 2nd and 3rd downs and didnt even complete one pass for the 2.9 yd avg we had up to that point.

Other than that first big play, the defense looks better than last year. We won't be able to beat a good team on the road. That's ok, because there are enough sorry teams on our schedule. Im chalking up Tulane and so miss as wins. Ohio has a decent QB, and we did a pretty good job. Not too many more teams on our schedule have a better offense and QB. Two big plays hurt us. The first play and the pick 6.

True but what's worrisome is our offense. We have more playmakers yet we call ridiculous plays at critical times. We should have scored more than 21 points in this game against that defense.
