Agreed...last week his completion ratio in the first half was "not so good", improved in 2nd half...still not so good, but all in all he did a pretty good job...he has character and is a fighter...I like. Canales seems to be able to get real performance out of RD, vs last year, where he was terrible...way too many turnovers. So far, so good...like canales, we will wait and see!

He went 11 of 14 in the second half, so if that is "not so good" what is your definition of good? I would say 11 of 14 for 201 yards and 3 touchdowns in the second half is pretty damn impressive.

Sorry, we expected nothing worse than 20-14 in the second half to make up for the first half. Your kind of thinking is what has held us back in the past, no more!

Riley had a good game against Troy, but that doesn't change his arm strength. There is 0 threat of a deep ball for opposing defenses right now (which makes Riley's numbers against Troy even more impressive).

Thompson will start next year, and Riley will move back to the slot, where I think he will be one heck of a player.

Riley could win the Heisman and houstonmeangreen would still find something wrong with him. Just the way it is.

Riley has been our best qb all season statistically. But the others haven't had much of a chance either.

But I still say the kid isshowing off they great skills he has. So far the only bitch about him is tht he can't throw the ball downfield. I beg to differ. He had 9.2 yard per attempt in the last game. He does have a meager 6.7 yards per comp overall. I know he doesn't throw deep but under canales he is seeing things that haven't been there in the past and those numbers will keep rising. Throwing a deep ball isn't everything and a 15 yard out seems to be something that Riley can throw for yards.
