Davidson Carries On Family Tradition At Unt

Kudos toTD...this was the right thing to do....besides that, this is an important position. Why do you think NFL teams keep a deep snapper on the roster??

Amen to that! And, UNT has an able back-up in young Mr. Kokjohn. I am glad TD sees the need to take care of special teams players with scholarships. These guys, while not often the media darlings of the team, go a long way in helping the team win. Good for Mr. Davidson, good for TD (nice job and shows a good bit of class too) and good for future special teams "specialists".

GO MEAN GREEN...Good things are happening for players on Coach Dodge's team!

Davidson's grandfather Merle was the first person with which I ever discussed North Texas football. This was way back in 1980-1981 when I was a High Schooler. Merle had a picture of Greg, who was then playing for the Houston Oilers, on the wall in his office A J Foyt Chevrolet in Houston. He said his son loved North Texas State and that it was a school that I should consider.

This, unfortunately, is the prevailing attitude of a great many of our students and not just athletes.

Emmitt...agree, but there is another and more positive side to this quote...being a fan and supporter of UNT.... it's good to have grads in areas other than DFW for both recruiting and general support. I did not take this quote to mean that he was "happy" to get away from Denton or UNT. Rather that he loved UNT while there, still does, but is a Houston guy "born and breed" and has strong ties to Houston.

OK, it's beyond me why anyone would want to live in Houston given free choice to live elsewhere, but at least it's still in Texas. Just kidding ... all you Houston folks don't get offended...
