Also the FW Bowl is getting a 6-6 California team.

Wonder how many folks they'll bring:

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) -- California accepted a bid Sunday to play Air Force in the Armed Forces Bowl.

The Bears (6-6, 3-6 Pac-10) had been 5-0 and ranked No. 2 in the AP poll before a 31-28 loss to Oregon State on Oct. 13. Starting with that game, the Bears lost six of their last seven.

Air Force (9-3, 6-2 Mountain West) accepted its bid last week to play in the Dec. 31 Armed Forces Bowl, to be played on the TCU campus. It is the first bowl game since 2002 for the Falcons, who won six of their last seven games.

With a bowl victory, California would finish with its sixth straight winning season under coach Jeff Tedford. The Bears were coming off a school-worst 1-10 record when Tedford took over after the 2001 season.

The game will be a homecoming for California running back Justin Forsett, who played at Arlington Grace Prep, which is only about a half-hour from the stadium where the bowl is played. Forsett has 1,406 rushing yards with 13 touchdowns this season.

I love how Ohio State just moves on up to No 1 despite not having played in 2 weeks. Of course, we saw how well they did last year when they hadn't played in over a month when they got schooled by Florida for the MNC.

so I assume Troy will get a bowl seeing as how Cal got a selection with a 6-6 record, if not then Troy is getting screwed royally. Thought bowls had to take an 8-4 or 7-5 team before selecting a 6-6 team that went 1-6 down the stretch? Bowls are doing the same crap that Selection Committed for March Madness does.

Their OOC was no different than the joke of teams that OSU played.

LSU at least played Va Tech.

OSU played a $hitty OOC as well , I agree. In the regular season tho , they beat one ranked ( final rank ) team, WISCONSIN.

Can't say the same for KU. They will get hammered by Va Tech

Someone explain to me how KU beats one very avgerage team all year , Texas A&m and is BCS worthy ???? Their OOC was a JOKE

BCS = Joke. Plain and simple. Until they figure out how to do a playoff.

I would just rather eliminate the BCS and then go back to the old way of doing the bowls. Then you would actually get matchups people want.

Someone had a sense of humor to send BYU to Vegas.

Greatness!!!

I've got an idea.... I go to Vegas send a few escorts to the players room , keep em up ALL night.

We get a ton of money 2 gether and bet on UCLA to cover the spread , use that money for the stadium!!

I would rather watch Troy(8-4) over Colorado(6-6)!! I think Troy could represent the Belt and bring a lot of people to that game in Shreveport! I think Troy could beat or make it a good game against Bama!

has an 8 win team ever been left out of the bowls? and i don't mean way back in the day when there were only 10 bowls....just curios

MTSU was the first year we beat them.

Also, as much as I am scratching my head over Missouri, you could argue they had two BCS bowls (the OU games) and lost both by double digits.

Bama means a BUNCH more money than Troy. It sucks, but at the end of the day, that is all these bowls are really for.
