  1. Great wins tonight. As of right now....no definitive time yet for the final game. I had heard 10 am Saturday.....but that's not listed anywhere.
  2. Nice walk off win in the 9th....4-3....on a homer by Molly Rainey. All three homers today by seniors....Molly, Kailey Gamble (tied it at 3 in the 7th)...and Kalei Christensen....with a solo blast for our first run. Skylar gets the win....in relief of Mackenzie Wagoner. Great win.....game two coming up soon.
  3. Just got in from a run.....and I hate windy days when I run. It wasn't that bad. But it will be noticeable. Right field might get some homers....glad we have some good lefty bats like Kailey, Lexi, Molly, Kat..... Will be there for game 1.....
  4. It's not been reported over there yet....but we lost another b-ball player to the portal y'day (Terrence Dixon). He played very little. But, as of this point......that will mean, if no one else leaves......9 new players in basketball next year. And, I'm guessing it's gonna be close to 50 new players in football this season. To me, that's not sustainable. You have to have some kind of relationship with the players. They can't all be "rentals."
  5. Trying to get these three games in.......... Now....we have a DH scheduled for Friday.......4 and 6:30. Third game expected on Saturday.....time will be announced tomorrow. Was told it might be as early as 10 am (but that's not definite)
  6. Congrats. I guess we got an at large bid?
  7. The away game against OSU (scheduled for tonight)....has been cancelled...(due to weather concerns)
  8. I missed that....when I first read it. Yeah....no way. I only want a separate G5 championship. I don't want a play-in tourney for the CFP. To Hell with that. Now....if they still want to take a 12th G5 each year for the CFP (based on regular season and conference championship games, if those still exist)....that would be okay. Then the rest of the top G5s could have their own natty.
  9. From Brett V: UNT was among a host of schools that showed interest in Floyd after he entered the transfer portal. Southern Illinois, Marshall, Arkansas-Little Rock and San Jose State also offered Floyd a scholarship. Also.....Floyd said that last season was an okay season for him, and that he has multiple things to work on. I like the humility of the kid.
  10. If you read that second story....it seems there would be 8 team divisions. And I love this: The new divisions would be realigned geographically, in part to benefit Olympic sports. These spread out leagues....benefit nobody. We could be here 100 years from now....and no one is gonna care about a game against Charlotte.
  11. Played in 9 games as a true freshman at KU. But KU really liked him....he was signed to a letter of intent. He wasn't a walk-on. Here Bill Self just raves about him: https://kuathletics.com/kansas-inks-guard-latrell-jossell/
  12. So he played his freshman year at Kansas....under Coach Self....before going to SFA. Another good addition....
  13. I've been saying for a while now....that we need something different. We'll never compete for a natty in football....in the situation we're in now. And going to these mundane bowls....has gotten monotonous. (sp?) There are so many bowls now....it's ridiculous. So maybe a G5 tourney....competing for that level's national title....might be cool. Anyway...this certainly intrigues me.
  14. https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/group-of-five-playoff-being-pitched-by-derek-dooley-financially-backed-by-private-equity-firms/
  15. The way things are going.....isn't sustainable for us. We'll see if something comes of this.
  16. Don't think she's hurt. I think RD is just easing her back into things...after that rough outing against the Ags. Glad our gals took care of business. MU is the worst team I've ever watched. Horribly coached. I bet you they bobbled 15 balls this weekend. (Like on throws to first or third. Even when we'd hit a ground ball single to the OF.....many times they bobbled it--allowing us to get an extra base (or two). Go Mean Green!
  17. Up 12-0 after 1. Seems like Rodney held Cierra at third twice.....with us up by 11. Looked like she could have easily scored on a sac fly.....or that wild pitch. She did score later on a hit. I guess he's not wanting to run up the score?
  18. One of the people who went on Twitter to congratulate Brock, and say we've got a good one here....none other than Darrel Ray Dickey
  19. Yes. But not that that means anything any more.
  20. Averaged 17.5ppg and 14 rpg his senior year in High School. The guy's a rebounder's rebounder. (from his Creighton bio) • Utilized his redshirt option. • Entered transfer portal on March 31, 2024. • Averaged 4.7 points and 6.0 rebounds in just 9.0 minutes per game in the Bahamas. • A rebounding machine, he snared eight rebounds in just under 10 minutes of Creighton’s exhibition game win vs. Wayne State (Nov. 3). • Averaged 17.5 points and 14.0 rebounds per game as a senior, earning All-District honors. • Former Houston (Tenn.) High School teammate of current Bluejay teammates Johnathan Lawson and Mason Miller, where they were coached by Mason’s dad Mike Miller. • Was also an All-Region 8-6A wide receiver on the football team, leading the team in both receptions and touchdowns. • Father Vance is the offensive line coach for UNLV Football who has also worked at Virginia Tech, Memphis, Georgia and Clemson in his career.
