Any bets HP stays down in 4A by <5 students  ph34r.gif

The cutofff for every classification will be raised. If they turn in less than 2000, I would think they might still be 4A. I can't find their official number of how many students they turned in anywhere.

I really only know the thick of 1A-3A North Texas fball(Celina,Prosper,Argyle,Pilot Point, Gainseville Aubrey, etc.) and can't offer much answers for the higher classifications, but the official ADM numbers can't be tweaked in any way. The UIL will know. Both Ryan/Denton will both be 4A.

Sorry for the late reply.

The schools have to submit attendance numbers in like Oct. , or projections if it's a new school for the following fall. Then classifications numbers are determined around Feb when the new realligned districts are determined. There was talk at one time of going to a 6A Division like some states have, instead of the 5A DI, DII playoffs.

All school attendance numbers are recorded Oct. 31st.

They're creating a DIV 2 for 1A, which will need more smaller 2A teams to bump down, raising the cutoff for 2A to(this is a guess of course) 240 Id say, and the 3A cutoff to 410-500. Every cutoff will be raised.

One of the main goals of the UIL is to place schools in classifications where the largest school does not double the number of students in the smallest school in that classification. This cannot always be true because some didtricts request some schools that do not meet higher classification number requirements request that some of their schools be bumped up a division. ( such as El Paso and Dallas ISD's ) The UIL will place a certain number of schools in 5A, then select a certain number for 4A, and etc. There is a discussion of projected changes in 5 and 4 A on the Texasprepextra.rivals.com website.
