Campus Street Closures

Recommended Posts

Really great read that examines the history of automobiles on the campus of UNT. I know their is current talks about potentially closing Highland Street and portions of Avenue C, but I think this historical evaluation provides insight in how UNT has become such a beautiful campus through the years

I am all for trying to limit access to the inside parts of college campuses. My son goes to UTEP, and they removed streets and parking lots to build what they call Centennial Plaza

tradeoff: you end up putting any potential parking to the outside of the campus and, thus, increase that morning walk (and increase the demand for on-campus transportation, too)
