Hawaii Bowl Eligibility

Since Hawaii has 13 scheduled games in the regular season, do they have to have 7 wins to be bowl eligible? Hawaii played California in Australia the week before the rest of the NCAA started playing. Right now they are 5-7, but play UMASS late tonight. It should favor Hawaii playing at home and well UMASS being UMASS. So with a win, would Hawaii become bowl eligible?

Yes, just need 6 wins

Yes Hawaii will be eligible if they win tonight. Also the Hawaii Bowl charter say it has to extend an offer if they become eligible.

If they win they will be the opponent for one of the cusa bowl teams, maybe even us.

I doubt I will go to a Mean Green  Hawaii Bowl.  It's too far and too expensive with too little notice.

I would very much welcome a match up with Hawaii.. 1 of the few bowl eligible teams i think we would  be favored against

Basically Hawaii or New Orleans Bowl have the best matchups for us and even then Sun Belt has some good teams.

Just please keep our bowl game within New Mexico and Birmingham. Somewhere a lot of students can still easily travel to on their own money.

I'd take it because it gives us an extra week to practice!!
