  2. see...now this is the thread @rojomojo should be weighing in on. Dallas's public transportation infrastructure and urban planning is clearly lacking.

  3. yeah, to them directly. Not quite the same as going public with triple fire emojis and “MAKING MOVES” when the guy is moving to a marginally more successful competitor. Not a big deal. Just weird…. But I don’t pretend to fully grasp the whole Coach O social media aura

  7. Utah Tech broke up Childers no hitter in the top of the sixth. Still 6-0. Ibarra with a solo shot as I typed the above comment. Now 7-0. Ibarra has been great at the top of the order going 3-4 today. She and Buggs have proven a few good things come out of utsa.

  9. https://www.arkansasonline.com/news/2023/dec/17/prep-rally-class-4a-boys-layne-taylors-mission-a/ The 5-foot-11 Taylor averaged 26 points per game a year ago to go with 5.6 assists, 4.8 rebounds, 2.4 steals and drew 14 charges. He also shot 81 percent from the free-throw line and has scored 2,404 points in his career. But the one thing he's done throughout his high school career is win. Taylor enters his senior year with an 89-9 career record.

  11. i say keep Rubin and Nolan out as long as needed to make sure they are 100% for the AAC tourney. Yes i want to beat SMU, Memphis and FAU but our best shot (and honestly only shot now) at the big dance is winning the AAC tourney!

  12. Win78-65. Never in doubt, ladies in control the whole game.

  13. High octane third quarter. SMU came out and scored on several possessions in a row to cut the lead down to 40-35, but our ladies kick it into another gear to take their biggest lead of the game into the 4th, 63-45. Robinson leads with 22 and had another triple to end the quarter.

  16. Frank Harris missed a few games this past year. The team was fine. I doubt they’ll have the late game heroics that Harris gave them, but they’ll still be a good team. Traylor sure likes to gripe, man. I hope we beat them. Weep weep.

  17. 70. North Texas Mean Green ESPN 300 commits: 0 | Previous ranking: 70 Top offensive commit: WR Mason Ferguson (three stars) Top defensive commit: DE Jaedon Langley (three stars) With their first full class, Eric Morris and staff were active on the recruiting trail and smartly leaned on the deep pool of talent in the state. A one-time Arizona commit, Langley was a key in-state win and gives them a defensive lineman with a good frame, get-off and agility to develop in the trenches. Zhaiylen Scott was another good in-state addition to their defensive front. He lacks some in ideal height at roughly 6-feet, but is an explosive player with a good motor. Morris, who has a background of leading productive offensive units, added potential playmakers including Ferguson, a fluid receiver with good length and speed and as a senior had 13 TD catches and averaged over 20 yards-per-catch. Kiefer Sibley is a compact, all-purpose type back and proved he can be productive, rushing for over 1,800 yards with 24 TDs his senior season. https://www.espn.com/college-football/insider/story/_/id/35564809/2024-college-football-recruiting-class-rankings-top-teams-schools 71 through 75 is San Diego State, Baylor, Memphis, Arizona, and UCLA in that order. Other AAC schools in the top 75: Tulane at 69, Tulsa at 60, and USF at 53. Edit to add our ESPN recruiting page. Worth noting, we have 4 DL rated as 3 stars per ESPN including 2 at DT. 26 of our recruits are ESPN 3 stars. https://www.espn.com/college-sports/football/recruiting/school/_/id/249/class/2024

  18. Will be fun to watch how he develops with a diet and workout plan. I can’t see him playing the nose for us in this d, but could definitely put on the needed weight for an end.

Committed to North Texas, Mason has thrived as a three-level scorer with a number of 30-plus-point games under his belt to go along with stout rebounding and defense as he attempts to lead Plano to a third straight playoff appearance.

Also, this is the world you create for cis women when you constantly live in a state of hysteria over what genitals people have between their legs. https://www.cnn.com/2024/02/08/us/natalie-cline-controversy-student-gender-social-media-posts

  31. I think the plan will be for them to come back and play in the final 2-3 games before the tournament. If we don't get a top four spot and the double bye, we will have to win four in four days. We will need all hands on deck.

  33. I don’t know about “chemistry”, but I certainly have thoughts on inserting a ball handler and additional scoring option.

  34. @UNTLifer Just like most HS recruits. Very few show up ready to go. He's likely a PWO anyways but he's a young DL with a good frame, good grades, and a good head on his shoulders and he's local.

  35. Forney DL Tristan Bennett is a new add. Maybe a walk-on but he was very productive at Forney. Nicknamed Tank Bennett. 1st Team all district at 6'00" 250. Forney went to the state semi finals this past season and their defense was a huge part of it.

  37. They don't do average class ratings on ESPN unless I just can't find it. Class breakdowns: UNT 30 Commits, 26 3-star recruits San Diego State 27 commits, 16 3-star recruits Baylor 16 commits, 13 3-star recruits Memphis 34 commits, 19 3-star recruits Arizona 17 commits, 1 4-star, 10 3-star recruits UCLA 10 commits, 2 4-star, 8 3-star recruits Your argument certainly stands for UCLA who has a very small HS class. Arizona's is smaller than traditional 25 recruit classes but their 3 star ratio is not very good. Baylor is smaller than traditional as well, 3 star ratio is better. Memphis and SDSU have the numbers but not the stars. Again, all per ESPN but ours is stacking up just fine.

  38. We are above the schools ranked 71-75 only because our class size is bigger. They all have a higher average player ratings than we do.

  40. At Fouts Field the years we won championships were listed on the bottom of the Press Box. I don't know why that was not done at Apogee/DATCU. I mentioned that to one of the AD's and he was indifferent. I suggested that we include that fact at the beginning of our video presentation before each game but again basic indifference. I would start the presentation with 25 Conference Championships, ___ All Americans (listing the numbers from the beginning no matter what year), perhaps ___ All Conference Selections, etc. I would at least try to show some historical success no matter how far back it goes.
