I know this has been mentioned before but you guys REALLY need to go in there and check out their selection of NT stuff.  This isn't your typical four or five items on a shelf next to the UT display...this place gives the campus book store a run for its money.  I found stuff for me, my wife, and all three kids in there.

We have tried to beg, shame or extort businesses (especially local ones) into carrying North Texas stuff for years.  Let's put our money where our mouths are and patronize a place that's doing it right.

Checked the website for NT Apparel at Academy but there is not much there. It is nice but I was expecting a little more like more button down shirts with NT logos.

They barely carry any team items that are button down shirts.  It is Academy not Nordstrom.

Your right, I was only once at the NT Bookstore  back in 2013 and I guess I was expecting more merchandise. But I will stop at Academy, there prices for cotton shirt are at descent prices.

When I still worked for the AD, I went by their pop up trailer before they opened to drop off posters. They had UNT hats, shirts, chairs, flags decorating the office.

They told me they wanted to treat that Denton Academy the same way that they treat their College Station one or whatever--90% local team gear. But they did say it was a test run. Glad to see it paid off for them in the end. 

I believe that the GM or someone in administration is UNT, as well. Not sure on that but I feel like they told me that.

They have a better collection of Nike gear and other random accessories than B&N. I'm heading up for work Thursday and I'm stopping in to buy a new shirt.

Now compare that to Sports Authority which has NO UNT gear or Hibbett has like one shirt from four years ago. Lids @ Golden has a good selection of UNT hats, too. Custom ones, which means that someone at that store cares.

Essentially, Academy & Lids, not Sports or Hibbett. Surprisingly WalMart (both of em) too.

Patronize these guys, y'all.

Denton Sports Authority... THE NUMBER ONE DESTINATION FOR UT AND OU T-SHIRT FANS.

      A few HSO's

      I was kind of hoping this HSO thread would help me get over the hump and renew the two season tickets I’ve had since the days of dirt at Fouts Field and the old cement urinals there. Unfortunately I, probably like some others, can’t seem to generate any old fashioned enthusiasm for the new version of “ here today gone tomorrow, pass through jocks . Somehow there just seems to be a missing piece; commitment, loyalty, alma mater. Yesterday’s discarded intangibles. Well, today is deadline day, can I break an old habit?

      For anyone who hasn't experienced the greatness of Hutchins, you should treat yourself the next time you are in either Frisco or McKinney. Some of the best brisket I've had (and other good stuff too). And... since UNT has expanded into Frisco, I guess we can claim Hutchins as a UNT BBQ place 😎

      There’s no contradiction. The average fan/alumni aren’t paying NIL, it’s the big donors and corporations. And they’re only doing it because that’s the way it is under the current, broken system. My 2nd point is that comparing college coaches with college players is neither a fair nor equal comparison.
