Ok.... I know this isn't the board to post that we're going.... but I am so stinking excited for this game and getting our first conference WIN. We have never been to New Orleans, so I'm kind of unsure on how this is going to go.... for me. But- in any case, my husband reminded me this evening that I may be the drunk girl at the game with #19 on my back & screaming "Joe Montana sucks!" We shall see....

For all you doubters out there.... I have never seen a group of players that want to kill this game more than our mean green right now!

Some of you forget that we have also had 2 weeks to prepare for this.

See you on Bourbon st! :-)

Edit: I should probably add that hookers have been spotted near our hotel (according to recent reviews that I happened to miss).... if you do not see me... consider this my S.O.S.....

And no... we don't like hookers.

Yes, JRock!

I am happy for Tulane's OOC success and I'm also happy that we don't go into the SuperDome (or whatever its called) thinking we are going to play St. Mary's Sisters of the Poor and then our getting a knot put on our heads.

This much improved version of Tulane is really what the doctor ordered so now we just need to go down there and take care of business and make all these upstart CUSA schools and (still) NCAA FBS newbies from the old Sun Belt eat even more mud pie and to understand they are seeing a North Texas that they even never saw in the old Sun Belt (and some of you know exactly what I'm talking about with that).

I want North Texas to get back to the days of old and become CUSA's new Chairman of the Board and get back to having a ranked program which would come along with that title.

I Want Domination & For North Texas To Never, Never, Never Take Any Prisoners............PERIOD, Gosh' Dang It ! :thumbsup:

PS: Has TCU alum Bob Schieffer (of CBS) had a stroke which has made him completely brain dead and unable to function on the air any longer?

Uh oh. We lived in Austin for 2 years.... worse than that???

After the first New Orleans Bowl, I was waiting for one of my friends to return from a hotel restroom at Orleans Ave end of Bourbon St. A female walked by, prompting the drunk males in the crowd to chat, "Show us your t*ts!" She obliged, and beads were thrown. Two more females walked by prompting said drunk males to chant, "Show us your (George W)!" She smiled, handed her friend her adult beverage, slide her pants down, and showed something else. Thank God it was dark, and nothing was actually seen, but the effect was still there.

The next year, we were escorting one of our amusingly drunk friends back to his hotel. As we passed the Krystal Burger, we were accosted by two hookers. Seeing he was drunk, they cut him off from us and were in the process of pushing him off. He being drunk, was talking to them instead of trying to leave. We finally pulled him away, and as we walked off, one grabbed me. I guess she liked what she felt because I had to litterally rip her hand off of me.

It's fun to drink there, but keep your wits.

Okay is there a Yell Practice on Friday night? Yeah I did. Yes I said it. Give it another name but until then a concentrated gathering of diehard Greenbackers descending upon Bourbon St yelling it up at a select time with drinks in hand? If so post it along with meeting time and yeah lets get this yell practice idea flowing now that we will have gatherings on the evenings before our driveables.

So.........at what intersection were these hookers at? Just to make sure that I avoid the area and all.

      The bats have definitely been the biggest disappointment the past two years. The run support simply hasn't been there enough. Now, I'm still optimistic for the tournament. Last year we won three straight to make it to the title game. But that double bye would have been nice especially if we only have two reliable pitchers right now.

      Why the NCAA model is dying and will be replaced

      You can rebuild a college basketball rotation to contend at a high level in one year. That is just 8-9 players. And if you get lucky with 2-3 absolute monsters, you can make a run in any given season. Of course, then those 2-3 monsters will get poached by deeper pockets and you will have to start all over again. But still, it is possible. But we can’t rebuild a college football two-deep in one year. That’s almost 50 players that we need to compete at a high level. And as has been demonstrated, any time we get football players who have any kind of success in the NIL era, they are gone quicker than you can say “Chandler Rogers”. Another reason it is easier for us to compete in the NIL era in basketball is because that sport is dominated by guards. There are LOTS of talented guards available in college basketball and some of the very best can fall through the cracks and land with us for atleast a season. And while many people would say that college football is dominated by quarterbacks (and that position is VERY important)… what really separates the elite college football programs from everyone else are the defensive linemen. The supply of 18-24 year-old humans who weigh 300 pounds with the strength to take on multiple blockers while also having the speed to run down a quarterback is no where near the demand. And these defensive linemen usually take a while to develop. But anytime a defensive linemen shows a hint of promise, he gets funneled to the highest bidder and that won’t be us. Which means we will never be able to compete with the SEC or Big 10 in football.
