Breaking news — UNT adds WR Fonzale Davis

Looks like they switched to the run due to the rain. 2 catches for 55 yards and TD. 1,289 yards and 14 TDs on the year.

Exactly. Kid is dynamic. SOC will play the winner of Mansfield summit and wylie next week. They have a very good chance to keep this playoff run going and it'll be fun to see how Fonzale's playmaking abilities impact the games as the stakes get higher.

If wylie wins, then I'll go to that game. And if the secondary of wylie plays as they have, fonzale should have a huge night.

The game was @ AT&T Stadium. Fonzale finished with 5 catches for 136 yards and 2 TD's. Davis is actually the 2nd best receiver on the team. 6-4 junior JF Thomas will be a high major next year and also had about 5-6 receptions (for about 150 yards and 2 TD's). Junior RB and UT commit, Jordan Stephenson, ran for over 200 yards. The game ended about 12:40 AM after the Highland Park/Kimball game. SOC took a knee near the goal to end the game to settle for a 63-37 victory.

Davis has 68 catches for 1421 yards and 16 scores while Thomas has just 30 catches for 489 yards this year, but he does have 13 touchdowns.

I haven't watched a SOC game live, but just going off stats it's not even close who their number one receiver is, except maybe near the goal line, and it's Davis. Curious as to why you think Davis is second best behind Thomas.

Senior highlights are up. Very impressive. Kid can flat out scoot. Kid could help replace Brelan on offense and special teams. Absolute terror with the ball in the open field.

Do yourself a favor and watch these. He's a football player. Not just an athlete or a track guy, but the kid plays tough. Watch the first play, play at 5:05, his kickoff coverage at 6:08, and the last play just to show his versatility. Will be an asset from day 1

I'm at the 4:27 mark and he still hasn't been tackled!! It's been impressive thus far. Kid has great vision, which is weird to say for a WR. What's been nice about his highlights is that it's not just him doing work with bubble screens, he can get open downfield as well.

Spoiler alert! He finally get's taken down at the 6:40 mark.

Completely agree. I thought the same thing, and that he read his blocks well. I like the idea of giving him handoffs, whether out of the backfield or fly sweeps (maybe wildcat, watch the last play), and for sure he looks like he could have great return skills. Definitely would be a good kickoff returner IMO, not everyone is suited for punt returner but he might be that too.

Exciting player to have coming in.

Area's leading receiver getting some post season recognition. Xavier Washington as well. Also, do your self a favor and watch Fonzale's highlights if you haven't yet. Kid can ball.

There are faster guys out there, but he can find and exploit a seam where it looks to be sealed tight. Yep, guy's a football player. An outstanding football player. QB looks to have a nice touch on the ball, too--is he getting any attention?

He's committed to UTSA.
