Student Section Seating?

So, in the days of old, if you were a student or student guest, essentially the student side of Fouts was First come first served. Is this still how it is, or is it assigned seating for students now?

Just curious. We have a big crowd coming this weekend, so wondering where we'll be able to find a spot to sit together, as my two assigned seats won't give us enough space. Thanks!

Something that bothers me about the student section is how the band is right in the middle of it taking up good seats. I wish they would move the band to the far left or right. But I can live with it if they don't

At least they aren't at the 50 like the athletic department said it would be a few months ago...

I have no problem with the band taking up the "good seats" - they are students, too - and for too many years, they were a large part of the student section since many of the non-band students had other things to do rather than attend the games.

Enjoy the good seats - enjoy the game, Green Brigade!

I don't have a huge problem with it, I just wish they would play more to create non-stop noise when we are not on offense.

Isn't there an NCAA rules against that. Lots of schools stick the band behind the other team's bench, but I thought there was something about how much they can play when the game clock is going.

And if that's not the case, just put speakers behind the other team and make their ears bleed?
