Nt's New Truck (i Think)

NASCAR has their haulers, and all the big boys have one, now we do. Saw this today by the locker room. We just need to replace the swan on the hood with an eagle. Yes, the band still has theirs.

Almost looks as though it has a tommy lift on the back. It also looks like it is a refrigerated trailer. (Notice the rectangular, beige box on the front of the trailer? Looks a lot like a compressor unit.)

BTW - There is a new UNT outdoor board on Central ExpWay in Dallas. IF you are traveling south on Central the board is a left hand read between NW HWY and Knox/Henderson. (Big gap I know - I just can't recall exactly where it is - Might be close to Lovers/Southwestern.)

I'll bet that's an A/C unit, since it has windows in the trailer.

Saw it again tonight, actually has a/c and is an office on wheels. Bet it is used for college days at high schools and other places. I thought maybe it was the equipment hauler, but it is not.

Yesterday I was at the Cotton Bowl(State Fair) and tU's longhorn truck was parked outside the team lockerrooms on the south side and I thought...Damn, how nice is that, sure wished NT could have something like that someday?

There's now a billboard just after the southbound I-35 on-ramp in Gainesville now that says "Welcome to Mean Green Country". Gave me the warm fuzzies when I left G-ville.

Then a door to somewhere else in the trailer. It also has a huge a/c unit. After I took the pics, Little Guy's pulled up to the locker room. If you thought Tx's rig was nice, you should see Nebraska's.

After talking to some folks checking out the truck much prior to the game... this is the private truck of an individual UNT superfan. Really an incredible setup. It is my understanding they used to race or still race motocross and had the outside painted Mean Green Colors and turned it into a tailgate lounge. If anyone else knows any particulars please share. Pretty cool.

I heard that the owner had a son or daughter go to UT and the truck was painted orange with all the Longhorn stuff. Now, his daughter is here at UNT, so he said it was her turn, so he had the truck painted like this for her.

I actually got a tour of the inside. Very Nice. Hardwood floors throughout, the back room is like a small living room, the hallway leads down to a bathroom w/ shower and then into a kitchen area. Very nice set up. The owner's son attends UNT and used to race motorcross. The son said the family has had the truck sitting for several years and decided to paint it with the UNT colors and use it for tailgating. Very nice setup
