If Only there were a CIBNT (College Invitational Basketball National Tournament) that included 16 more teams

We should of beat lowly Denver (11-19) and Troy (12-19) on the road. 22 - 9 sounds a lot better than 20 - 11

so i'm guessing the games will be set up something like:

utep (tx) at nevada (nv)

ohio (oh) at cincinnati (oh)

iupui (in) at bradley (il)

utah (ut) at washington (wa)

tulsa (ok) at houston (tx)

rider (nj) at seton hall (nj)

richmond (va) at virginia (va)

leftovers - brown (ri) and unc wilmington (nc)

brown kind of messes things up, but unc wilmington could play either virginia or richmond and teams could shift north or you could just have one purely non-regional match-up

Your breakdown is probably beter than my half ass attempt to put them into regions.

Unfortunately the teams seem to have been selected as much / more for their ability to sell tickets as for their season record.

Well, North Texas will continue to be overlooked as long as the university continues to treat athletics as an afterthought.

Fix THE PROBLEM and these symptoms will go away.

editing based on confirmations of who is hosting/going on the road

Tulsa got robbed, IMO...beats UAB, then a streaking UTEP to make it to the CUSA finals, only to watch UAB get an NCAA invite and not get an NIT bid. fantastic...

Houston shouldn't be in the NCAAs, but it does seem weird that they were considered a bubble a week ago and now fail to get the NIT

UAB is in because of Vaden. I just don't see them doing well the last 10 games of the season without him. Unbelievable streak shooter.

and how about a Tulsa/UTEP draw that sets up a second round matchup with a conference foe you just beat a week ago? For a third-tier [er, any tier] post-season tourney, seems kinda flawed.

Extremely happy for the Belt, though.

For Cincy to get picked in this field, after losing their last 6 games and 13-18 record, over us, is very sad, and probably why this tourney will be short lived in terms of years.

The CBI Tournament just lost all credibility in my book. A 13-18 Cincy team.
