Last Weeks Sports Illustrated Cover..

Recommended Posts

I wasn't sure anyone posted it or not but did you see last weeks SI cover? It was a mozaic of players from teams in the Big Dance and it had Rich Young? in one of larger photos at the bottom. It went from little(at the top of the page) to bigger(bottom of the page) to give that depth look. How many times has NT had a player make the front cover of SI?

Of course, any pub is good pub, but this was sort of the green version of Where's Waldo?

I saw the issue today and, unless you're looking for Mean Green players like me, you're probably not going to notice. There is just way to much going on in that photo. They have players from every school (maybe more than one from some of the schools?) and even some of the women's side.

Don't miss the point here.

Even if you can't easily or readily see the North Texas player, the point is that SI put a North Texas player on its cover. SI acknowledged the Mean Green, and they didn't have to. With a mosaic like that, they could have easily just put in players from the big-shot schools. But they didn't.

Sports Illustrated included the University of North Texas. That's a step in the right direction, folks.

Not to bust any bubbles here, but they do that every year. The cover has every team in the tourney represented one way or another.

Not busting any bubbles, because while SI puts every team in the tourney on the cover every year we don't get to participate very often.
