Wilson better step up, else round and round we go on the QB carousel again. I am actually pleasantly surprised to see this.

This might be a good time to post a question I've been meaning to ask. Our announcers speculated that after Woody got his bell rung on the opening drive against MTSU, he may have been discombobulated. Most our opening drive looked good, Woody was sharp, looked confident, completed passes, etc. After the hit, however, he looked like a different QB. I have never taken a shot like that. Could disorientation, or even fear of getting hit like that again account for his poor play? Or did Woody just have a horrible game?

IMHO, WW is the better QB of the three.  WW has a good arm and is more mobile than the other two QB's.  With the OL that we have now UNT needs a mobile QB.

The OL needs to step up and be an offensive line.

I agree with everything you said here. However, Woody was completely out of sync after the hit. He severely under/over threw the ball on many other plays, several to fairly wide open receivers.

True, but did you notice when he was in sync in the SMU game he was making plays happen with his feet? Since then it seems like the coaches havn't really let him run like that.

Also, the O-Line has been the cause of all of our QB problems this season. The hit that knocked WW out of sync on that opening drive (he was moving the ball very nicely before it) was a missed assignment by Venegas.

DD needs to give whoever starts a vote of confidence. Tell the young man to relax and play the game. Do not try and force plays and do not worry about getting pulled for a mistake. He will play the whole game.

Really, at 1-4 what does he have to lose???

Actually, it was Left Tackle Joel Foster who did not adjust to the weakside linebacker blitz. If a QB gets blindsided, you are generally going to look at your left tackle.

To be fair, Foster isn't really all that bad in pass protection. He didn't get BEAT on the play so much as his misread allowed a guy to come free.
