Interview with C-USA Commissioner Judy McLeod

Recommended Posts

CUSA hired a Chief Reveue Officer was something very new. I'm very curious as to what that person actually does. I haven't heard. She also mentioned Fox was holding back on any deal until they get the B1G deal. She also mentioned the league didn't want Tuesday and Wednesday games which effected the deal. She said Friday and Thursday have become de facto regular game days.

She didn't sound "timid" but she wasn't even slightly aggressive in pushing her message. SHe just answered questions, she didn't challenge the assumption of any questions, she didn't jump in and change the subject to push her message. Answer the question quickly, then add your specific message. For example, she couldn't comment on some pending contracts. That's fine, she shouldn't but once she says I just can't comment on that, jump into something she CAN comment on.

I wish some DFW sports shows would interview her. Being interviewed in Huntington is certainly nice, but she is BASED here. The league should have a person calling stations and pushing interviews.

Did not sound like commisioner material to me in the least.  Probably a hell of an instructions follower.  Common traits for an operational staffer.
