I know the answer; it's just disappointing for mid majors in general and means UTEP has to face a very good, very angry Racer squad.

No big wins. Strength of Schedule. Got throttled by Valpo and Xavier.

I agree they shouldve been rewarded for the 25 wins in a row, but the committee rewarded teams who played a tougher schedule. I think in some cases its a little unfair that the bigger schools already have good teams on their schedule as a part of their conference.

UTEP has a big size advantage and will need to play some tough defense to shut down the Racers. Murray St ranks 17th in offensive efficiency. UTEP ranks 95th in defensive efficiency. It should be a pretty good matchup.

The top four seeds went to the first four out of the NCAA tourney. Those four as announced were Temple, Richmond, Colorado State and Old Dominion.

i think it's only because there is a new rule that the first four out become the #1 seeds in the NIT
