This is awesome. 1,000 UNT fans are going to accidentally end up at the UTSA game and make the Roadrunners nervous. If it rains, too, they are absolutely screwed!13 points

Hard to believe that Cincy has earned a spot as the 1st G5 program in the college football playoff. Also amazing to think that UNT will join the AAC which now will boast the first ever G5 playoff squad. This is a very exciting time to be a part of North Texas athletics!8 points

I hear what you are saying but I think we just need the win. We don’t need to gauge our team strength: the season is over. With all the coaching changes and the transfer portal, this team and its opponents likely will be quite different next season. Wouldn’t it be better to go out with six wins in a row and let that be the story? No one outside of this board cares about the strength of schedule. Let’s let the casual alumni hear about a big bowl win. Might generate a little enthusiasm for next season. Plus these players battled to save the season and get there. I want them to celebrate a W.8 points

Different scales and standards….But Harbaugh’s seat was scorching hot. He was basically done. A large part of their fans wanted him fired…. The school stayed with him, didn’t fire him….he came back this year under a cloud of doubt. They were unranked and picked to finish 4th in their division. Now look at Harbaugh…..7 points

All I can think of is the date of the bowl game:7 points

Tough match up for UTEP. But I’m guessing they will travel well to that bowl7 points

A fake slide should be treated the same as a real slide. The quarterback appeared to give himself up and is down at that point.7 points

if a qb runs he should be treated as a running back, no tag football for them!7 points

I don't think anyone is ignoring SL's past. I think we are optimistic that he has figured something out, and want to see the immediate future unfold. No contract extensions. No new bonuses. Just let another contracted year play out. Are you just not interested in an improved SL? Why does the idea of a learned excellence seemingly not concern you? I'm not interested in teaching someone his job, you say. ...well, neither are we. We're both interested in winning, which is what he is doing now. If I managed a hired person for a year that was about to get fired, and witnessed him turn the corner and start excelling, I'm going to hold off on the decision. Start building up his responsibilities and see what happens.6 points

This is the CFP committee I'll believe Cincy in thr playoff when I see it. But they do deserve their spot.6 points

Want to wait and see how the committee tries to get them out of the top four6 points

I think the sarcastic guy at the bowl committee said, “Let me see if I got this right. We’re going to add in yet another bowl game just a couple days before we have to announce the participants? And we’re just going to stick it in a stadium that’s hosting another bowl game just a few days before? Classic.”5 points

UNT site says 2:30 also. By the way, don’t accidentally purchase Frisco Bowl tickets. You’ll be surprised when you show up and UTSA takes the field.5 points

Frisco Football Classic. I believe "Frisco Classic" is also synonymous with "cookie-cutter home".5 points

Wait until the official UNT link comes out. Won’t be cheaper but you would be supporting our athletic program.5 points

The system has to change. Cincy had to go undefeated for 2 straight seasons just to barely sneak into the playoffs. If they happen to beat any team other than ND to start the year the committee puts ND in front of them every single time. Could even make the argument that with a convincing win over Baylor Ok St probably would have jumped over them too.5 points

It'd be nice if your title reflected that any hate was coming from Virginia Tech. And even then I would suspect that very few people there actually hate him. When you look at who the played, how well they played, and what they were facing with injuries, It can be argued that Virginia Tech played pretty well this season outside of the upsets to Boston College. Syracuse, and the Pitt game.5 points

🤔. Can’t do that. You’ll see though. It is pretty reliable. 60% of the time, it works every time.5 points

The Bearcats need to be in the playoffs, but with Bama stomping GA the playoff committee might still find a way to Cincinnati out. Baylor did Cinci a huge favor.5 points

I don't think you're anywhere near correct in your age statement, and I don't think there are many people that can rival Rick's profound dedication to the program (and not questioning yours either as I appreciate every supporter). Rick is not only a financial booster but has also provided decades of volunteer service to the athletic department, specifically with organizing the annual Don January Golf Tournaments to raise money for athletics. He was even awarded UNT's prestigious 2002 Ulys Knight Spirit Award. Rick has literally made a career out of making other people's lives better: https://aapra.org/About-AAPRA/Member-Biography?Id=81 . Seriously, discard this tiff and introduce yourself to him at one of the games. He's a wonderful person.5 points

I think Seth has done well enough to retain his position as head coach for another year but that decision is really in the hands of Wren Baker and the Board of Regents. Next year, as we approach the end of Littrell's contract, I don't think anybody, Wren, our regents, our fans, our team, and even Seth himself, will be satisfied enough with a six win season to extend the contract. So, be happy. You're in a Win - Win situation. Your team either starts winning consistently or you get a new coach. I know we're all hoping for the best but can also understand if changes will then need to be made. Until then, enjoy the hell out of this bowl season that the team and the coaches have provided.5 points

You should have more gratitude for us. We turned this season around with our tough criticism on this message board. I for one have never been prouder.5 points

After the conference gets their cut, it definitely ain't about the payout. Let's just enjoy the experience and win!4 points

Can we air our grievances in a ceremony if they lose or maybe Seth can wrestle Wren if we win for the bowl game bonus. 🤣🤣🤣4 points

No, I bought 50 yard line seats on AXS. This way I don’t have to worry about where my “priority points” will put me.4 points

This checked all of my boxes: Closeby Winnable Makeable (I have to work on the 23rd but I have a better chance of getting off a few hours for a 4:30 p.m. start than taking off a whole day for an 11 a.m. game) While I'm unsure how much longer I want Littrell to be coaching here, I'd much rather see this team, after putting in all the hard work to get here after a 1-6 start, finish it off with a bowl win in front of a loud, green stadium.4 points
