I agree entirely, its a tricky situation. You always run the risk of someone not showing up in the seat, but at least if they are open for sale to anyone and not controlled by one individual if you will, it gives us a much higher chance of butts in seats. However, sure someone could technically buy out all of say section 101 and never show up either. It's a tricky situation, and there really is no good answer I have a feeling. I'm eager to see what the new plan is for next year.

This is the tricky part.  They are open for sale to anyone, but they have to be purchased through JW at Eastside.  Maybe we find a way to advertise these to the young alums.

This seating for young alums was a RV deal that probably needs to be re-looked at.  John Williams appears to be a great fan and is in effect donating a lot of money to the program through his purchase.  Maybe the ticket office could work with Mr. Williams to see that these seats are filled.  Advertize the tickets availability and how to obtain them.

This "young alumni" stuff needs to start while they are still on campus... Have the information in the packets with the students degree, about the ticket offers and who to contact..

Leaving the military i had to attended a bunch of meaningless lectures and classes, heck similar to orientation.  They need to have things like this be mandatory (even if students will complain and most likely not pay attention) and have people talk about different things for recent grads.. If its having WB come up and talk for 5 minutes about donations to the AD office, season ticket packages, etc.. it will be boring to most of the students, but even if you pick up 2 or 3 % that is a nice addition.

I have to agree.. market these tickets on the UNT websites on top of the locations  its already on... As @Prettylittleeagle has said, he did not know where to go to get information about them..

UNT Ticket Office should and the AD office should market this deal on its own website since UNT has already made the $ and it would greatly increase the exposure for Mr. Williams...

Here's a couple ideas for that section:

1) Make it the visiting team fan or band section.  LOL!!!  That would go over well.

2) Sell the tickets for $1.  Students could still afford that.  And if they have a ticket, no one can stop them from sitting there?  CUSA couldn't possibly expect us to check ticket holders for those seats against our enrollment to see if they are or are not a student.

Screw CUSA and this BS regulation!
