This may have been previously linked but all the stories are featured in it's own section at the bottom of the main on-line page of the DMN for Sunday. They mention the possibility of a Sellout for the $mut game.

I am shocked when the Dallas paper gives NT any coverage at all, even if most of it is by way of Vito. Maybe they finally realize Denton IS part of DFW?

5 bold predictions:

1. UNT will beat $MUt at home. UNT may be 4-28-1 against $MUt all time, but the Mean Green is a perfect 2-0 in Denton. UNT’s players will be sky high and know that there is no bigger game for the program. Having what should be a highly pro-UNT crowd in what will likely be a sold out Apogee Stadium will only help matters.

A logical fallacy would be to say UNT is 2-0 in Denton against SMU therefore they will always defeat SMU in Denton. #Magnets ?

A prediction would be saying on field talent will matter more than location. I'd give that edge to SMU thanks to historically

better recruiting and competition.

Logic would dictate that judging last year's field talent would give you the closest comparison for this year. Seems logical that this is also how you would evaluate the results of recent recruiting. SMU may have arguably had tougher competition, but they also wound up with a worse win/loss record. Not sure how you can give the edge to either team. We'll see what happens on the field.

If only because yearly cost of tuition, room, and board is a lot more than UNT (and full cost of attendance $$ legal stuff is around the corner). If you seriously believe SMU is doing some

$EC under the table stuff still, you might want to see if UNT has a psychiatry program Heck we only recently relaxed admission standards for athletes.

Re: worse win/loss record. Yeah, that came with better competition in AAC. SMU was a contender in the old C-USA & UNT did a good job in C-USA 2.0. Should be a fun game. Just bought tickets in

section 109.

I don't appreciate the racism If the game was at SMU I bet there would not be such a confidence boost for the green. I look forward to seeing what a real crowd looks like at Apogee but

that is the only advantage I can say is UNT's for sure. The UNT player turnover was pretty significant/ less significant than Shmoo's. Talent goes to $MU (trying to fit in with the memes but

Smu has lots of questions. We have unsettled battles at some spots, but that is due to quality.

Both teams will be starting an unproven qb.

SMU has a questionable OL, RB, and QB.

On Defense, theres experience, but it wasnt a good experience. They were terrible. Did they play because there were no other options? Thats what it seems like.

Our guys had limited experience, but it was due to having a good player in front of them.

SMU D had the injury bug and had to play young guys. They have had a long time to grow up and the better ones now return from injury (namely safety and LB).

QB is not total question since Burcham had 2.5 games with #1QB injured. Now he's had 1st team snaps through spring and fall camp compared to none before.

D has a good all-CUSA LB transfer coming in so while not a "returning starter" was a former starter at from Rice. I'd take doing poorly and starting young over

watching and taking 2nd team snaps. It will be interesting for sure
