You should post more in FB forum!

I will try once the season starts. I have season tickets. Basketball is just the sport I have always focused more on and was able to get more connections in since I worked with Jone wife. I am sure if we lose to Idaho you will hear from me on here.... :headbang:

I must say I am excited for this upcoming season, and really hope and wish for the best. No matter who lines up on either side of the ball I am faithful the coaches who live UNT football 52 weeks of the year have chosen them to be there for a reason.

I come on these boards because I am excited for the season, I enjoy reading posts. I look for others that are as excited as I am and are going to watch every single play this season. Perhaps share ideas, or opinions, memories and talk MeanGreenFootball.

I must say it is somewhat discouraging to read the negativity and criticism of the players before the season has even started. It can be hard to look at these boards at times because of it. But my following of UNT football always brings me back.

We are all here because we share one thing, we are invested in Mean Green Football and want it to be successful. Does not matter who you are, or how you're connected to the program. What matters is we all want a winning season and to celebrate it at a bowl game with these deserving players. Winning: the rest is just details!

I choose to be positive and hope for the best and trust those that live UNT Football daily to have prepared these young men to WIN!

Derek Thompson's bad is terrible. His good is good. He averages out to sliiightly below average. Maybe he fixed that stuff. I can live with that. Things to look for: staring down Brelan and not going through progressions, over-throws, poor-to-meh short stuff. If Canales has worked with him on this stuff? He'll be an okay starter. With the run game/better defense we should be decent enough.

      Scrap'em is (or was) a thing. I remember in the late 90s there was some sort of Administration decision that "Scrap'em Eagles" would be our official battle cry. Probably only a few people were ever aware of it, but Talons got the memo.

      SB at Charlotte (5/3-5/24)

      It all comes down to this. The softball ladies are a game behind FAU and Charlotte for first place in the conference. The Mean Green already own the tiebreaker 2-1 with FAU, so winning two of three in Charlotte this weekend would also be huge in that it would give the ladies the tiebreaker over both teams in case there is a three-way tie at 19-8. The biggest reason to try to take two of three in Charlotte is that second and third place in the conference is the difference between having to win just two games in two days to make it to the NCAA Tournament, or four games in four days. We can't finish lower than third. Fourth place Tulsa is 3 games behind UNT, and we swept them earlier in the year. Tulsa plays at FAU this weekend. Charlotte will be a tough out. Last year by way of playing one fewer conference game due to a rainout, they finished with one loss fewer than UNT and won the regular season title. However, we took two of three at home to the 49ers before beating them again in the conference tournament. They still made it to the NCAA Tournament as an at-large. This year, Charlotte has taken 2 of 3 at USF and vs. Wichita State while sweeping the likes of UAB and Tulsa, and are on an 11-game win streak overall. Standings going into the final weekend. The conference tournament is May 8-11 in Wichita. If we make it to the final on Saturday at 11 am, be prepared to drop everything and head up to Kansas to support! SCHOOL CONF CPCT. OVERALL PCT.
