SBC Basketball Tourney Staying in Hot Springs

On may 1st the SBC released the dates and hosts for the 2012-2013 champioships. I know there was chatter about the SBC tourney being moved, but it looks like Benson was forced to wait until after next year.

March 9-12, 2013 are the dates.

The only championships that we host are Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving...of which we only compete on the Women's side.

I think that might be best. Hopefully UTA & Texas St can travel decently enough to make up for UNT's loss crowd.

It's not like they will miss FIU and their 3 fans who made that trip

* edit , I though this was for after the 2013 season. I think benson wanted to move the tourney after next season because that's when the contract is up ( so I was told )

Good to hear it's staying one more year. That's always been a fun trip for UNT fans.

I should have been more clear. I thought I read somewhere that Benson wanted it in Biloxi ASAP, but that the Hot Springs contract may prevent that. I'm just glad that it is there one more year...after that, I don't care if they even have a SBC tournament.
