"Carey made an impression in two-a-days and got a chance to play in the first game of his college career against Ball State.

He caught just one pass for six yards in the Mean Green’s win over the Cardinals, but showed enough in that loss to move into the starting lineup for UNT’s second game against Ohio."

Sorry Vito I like ya but how does this work  ? Edit: sorry pollock, totally missed your post on this subject.

I was happy about D. Carey when he verbaled to us. He seemed like a big time playmaker. Plus he sports the brohawk!! How can you not like him. The offense next year only loses 1 player I think, and that is Cam. A big loss, but you have to like what you've seen from Lance Dunbar. Add in our 2 transfer WR's and this O is going to be stout!! This offense and team are going to be tough next year. I made my prediction a month ago, but NT will challenge for if not win the Belt next year.

I've been pleased with Carey for sure. And, I'm puzzled about the other player who shone in fall camp....BJ Lewis. I know that he reportedly is injured, but it must have been one heck of an injury to keep him out this long...especially when they were singing his praises all throughout fall camp and had him penciled in as a starter. Wonder what his true status is?
